Valued Members of Team ScienceRESEARCH GROUPS. ABRF members are involved in a broad spectrum of biomolecular technologies, including:

• Bioinformatics

• Flow Cytometry

• Genomics

• Imaging

• Mass Spectrometry

ABRF Research Groups (RG) studies advance specific biotechnologies and analytical techniques for the benefit of core and research laboratories. Joining an RG enables members to contribute to the latest technology standards and protocols. ABRF provides financial support for studies by these member-driven groups.

PROFESSIONAL COMMITTEES. ABRF provides leadership opportunities for members to guide the operations of the society and to create relevant programs and services for all ABRF members. ABRF Professional Committees focus on:

• Awards

• Career Development

• Communications

• Core Administration

• Core Rigor and Reproducibility

• Corporate Relations

• Education

• Regional and National Meetings

• Membership

• Publications

Reach Globally, Connect LocallyABRF regional chapters provide accessible, affordable networking and education opportunities featuring experts on today’s current and emerging biomolecular research trends and technology. Participants also connect with industry partners to review new products and services to enable core facilities operations. Find your local ABRF chapter:

• Mid Atlantic Directors and Staff of Scientific Cores (MAD SSCi)

• Midwest Association of Core Directors (MWACD)

• Northeastern Regional Life Sciences Core Directors (NERLSCD)

• Southeastern Association of Shared Resources (SEASR)

• Western Association of Core Directors (WACD)

A Unique Community

The Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) brings together over 800 professionals from more than 250 academic and research institutions, government agencies, and the private sector.

For over 30 years, ABRF and its members have set the standards for best practices for core facilities operations. Today, ABRF members collaborate to apply leading-edge biotechnology tools and techniques to accelerate breakthroughs in scientific discovery.

Why Join ABRF?

As an ABRF member, you will:• Help set the standards for Shared Resource Facilities• Contribute to an international peer network• Build leadership and scholarship expertise• Advance your career within Team Science

ABRF Annual MeetingsThe ABRF Annual Meeting highlights emerging biotechnology tools and techniques and provides valuable updates on research. The meeting features interactive panel discussions, workshops, and plenary presentations by experts in the field, along with a diverse range of technology exhibits to help attendees learn more about new approaches to the operations of shared resources.
