Annual Conference
Dublin, March 4th – 6th 2011
The annual conference of the Association of Young Irish Archaeologists (AYIA)
provides a great opportunity for those embarking on their archaeological careers
or continuing their academic studies to showcase their research.
This year’s conference will take place in the Clinton Auditorium in UCD. The inaugural lecture will be given by Dr. Conor Brady of Dundalk I.T. on the subject of the Rossnarea Enclosure in the Boyne Valley, Co. Meath at 6.30pm on Friday the 4th of March followed by a wine reception.
Saturday March 5th will be dedicated to speakers’ papers beginning at 10am. Dr. Stephen Harrison will lead a tour of Viking Dublin followed by visits to OPW sites on Sunday March 6th.
