Dear Members, Vice Presidents, families and friends.
I would personally like to welcome you to the 2015 season. This season sees a change in Captain for the 1st XI with Josh Smith taking over from Wesley Morrick we would like to wish Josh and his team the very best of luck and hopefully a speedy return to Div 1.
The 2ND XI have worked really hard to stay in Div 2 and hopefully this season will be an opportunity to look up the league a little. Both the 3rd XI under the leadership of Lee Anning and the 4th XI with Chris Hutton gained well deserved promotions last year and will hopefully equip themselves well in the higher divisions. Please come along and support all 4 sides on a Saturday, I know they appreciate it.
I would also like to welcome all Vice Presidents to the new season, your patronage is critical to the success of the club and although many attend the club on a regular basis we would like to see many more popping in and having a drink whilst enjoying the Cricket.
The Junior section continues to go from strength to strength with Mandy Brine and Clare White leading the way with excellent support all the way through the Boys age groups and Andrew Walker again spearhead-ing the Girls Cricket ensuring inclusion within our club. Can we go one better this year and collect some silverware, I am sure we can!
I am pleased to announce we have agreed to a number of Oxfordshire games on our ground this year from the senior team all the way to junior matches. We also host the first 3 day game for 20 years against Dorset. These fixtures are in the fixture card and hopefully we will see many ARCC players representing the Coun-ty on home turf.
We are also supporting the ECB Learning Difficulties Team, led by Stuart Murphy, all of these initiatives send out a clear message that ARCC is a forward thinking club both on and off the pitch.
I would also like to thank all of the sponsors who have supported the fixture card, I hope that your busi-nesses thrive throughout 2015 and if you have time to pop into the club I am sure you will receive a warm welcome.
Special thanks should also go to the following Vice Presidents who also made personal donations to enable the fixture card to be produced for this season.

You will have noticed the marque at the ground, this will be used to host events throughout the summer and is also available to hire for private parties, please speak with me if you are interested.
We are also holding Astonbury this year in the grounds of Kingston House, this year it will be a two day event on the 7th and 8th August as you will see from the flyer. I would like to thank Angie and Harry for their support of this event.
All fixtures are on the website and in this year’s fixture card which you will all receive in due course.

I am delighted that the Oxfordshire Cricket Board and Aston Rowant Cricket Club have agreed to continue their partnership to support the development of cricket in Oxfordshire towards the goal of making it the ’sport of choice’ within the county.
Aston Rowant CC is a flagship club in Oxfordshire, providing cricket for all, and actively contributing towards delivering the Oxfordshire strategy for cricket. Your youth sections set high standards on welfare and inclusivity and your senior teams have become a very attractive proposition for elite players as well as offering excellent progression opportunities for youth players. Playing and spectating at xyz is always a very pleasurable expe-rience and the OCB is extremely grateful that you make those facilities available to support both the county youth and senior cricket programmes.

Aston Rowant Cricket Club has fully licensed bar facilities. The bar is managed on a “Self Maintained” rota system. All playing members are expected to contribute their time to the running of the bar both in the cricket season and during the winter months.
