WII will never be erased from our memoryLeshcheva Ekaterina/ Лещева Екатерина, ДФЕКС-11

Popova Galina Evgenevna/ Попова Галина ЕвгеньевнаWar is an event that is contrary to the human spirit. How

much pain, suffering, bitterness and loneliness it carries with itself. There is no doubt that nothing in this world goes without a trace. Even after many years, the war bring back terrible memories, like hunger, destruction, death, and loss. The marks all these horrific memories leave are scars in the hearts of millions of people.

The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 is the war of libera-tion of the peoples of the USSR who against Nazi Germany and its allies for dear life. It was the most important and decisive part of the Second World War (1939-1945) for Russian people.

Early on Sunday morning of June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany and its allies struck an unprecedented blow against the Soviet Union. Konstantin Simonov's poem about that day is especially poignant:

«That is the longest day of the year With its cloudless weather We issued a total disaster In all, for all four years…».

The «sacred war» lasted almost four years and became the largest armed confrontation in the history of mankind. On the front line stretching from the Barents to the Black Sea, 8 to 13 million people, 6 to 20 thousand tanks and assault guns, 85 to 165 thousand guns and mortars, 7 to 19 thousand planes on both sides fought in different periods of the war.

The Soviet troops put much effort in exhausting the enemy in bloody battles forcing the German troops to get defensive and in-flicted many major defeats on the adversary. The Soviet soldiers managed to annihilate the fascist forces in the largest battles of Mos-cow, Stalingrad, Leningrad, Kursk, on the Dnepr, in Belarus and of the Baltic Sea.

The Soviet army’s offensive carried out on thousand kilo-meters front and deployed well forward for hundreds of kilometers. Fascist Germany suffered the greatest losses on the Soviet-German front. Soviet troops captured and crushed 607 enemy divisions. Ir-reparable losses to the Axis alliance troops on the Soviet-German front reached more than 8.6 million people.

More than 75% of all enemy weapons and equipment were cap-tured and destroyed. The victory came at a high price for the Soviet Union. The total death toll of Soviet people was about 27 million people. The invaders completely or partially destroyed 1710 towns and more than 70 thousand villages.

World War II ended with the victory of the USSR. The German Instrument of Surrender was signed in one of the suburbs of Berlin on the night of 8 May 1945 at 22:43 Central European Time (Mos-cow time - at 00:43 on May 9). Therefore, because of the time differ-ence, Victory Day is celebrated on May 8 in Europe and on May 9 in Russia and post-Soviet states.

In the USSR, the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet signed on on May 8, 1945, declared May 9 the day of Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.

This event went down in the history of Russia as the most tragic and at the same time the most heroic one. Our people managed to survive this terrible period thanks to patriotism and heroism. No one has ever doubted that our homeland could defeat the enemy.

Everyone was touched by the war. There is not a single family that did not experience the enduring rigors of the war. Either grand-parents or parents went to war. Every Russian family lost at least one of their close or distant relative to war. Those on the home front sac-rificed everything they had for the victory. The outcome of the war depended much on the citizens’ labor. Children and teenagers would go to the factories, did hard work and fulfilled adult responsibilities. Old men also used to go to the front in hope of protecting the country from fascist invaders and barbarians. Many citizens joined the Parti-san resistance movement.

The war was repeatedly discussed and described in literary works by world famous poets and writers and addressed to in the cinema. Throughout the war - both at its difficult moments of failures and re-treats, and on the days of glory - our literature was seeking to fully reveal the moral qualities of the Soviet man. The memory of victory in the war has been immortalized in stone, concrete and marble. Many architectural masterpieces, like Mamayev Kurgan Memorial complex "To the heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad" in Volgograd, re-mind us of heroism of the Soviet nation.

The Great Patriotic War showed up the power of the Russian man, reflecting the significance of the Russian people. The Russians do not fight against someone, they fight for their freedom, for the oppor-tunity to ensure a peaceful and tranquil sky for their children.

Everyone who lives and breathes today must be infinitely grateful to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Indeed, it is thanks to them that we are alive. We must remember those terrible times and pass down the story of the war through generations.

There are very few participants of these distant and terrible events left, and we must protect them and cherish the memory of those awful and fiery times. All terrible things are always forgotten very quickly but these times must not be neglected or totally obliterated. For us and our children, the veterans should serve an example of how to fight for our freedom and our country. Every city and small village, every human will remember for good the fiery horror brought by fascism.

The Great Patriotic War in the life of our countrySelimov Zagidin/ Селимов Загидин, ДИНР-11

Tsiganova Olga Aleksandrovna/Цыганова Ольга АлександровнаLike many of my friends, I learn about the war from the stories of

grandfathers and grandmothers, parents, my teachers, films and military literature. Every time when it comes to war, I feel sad.

What do we know about the war? We who never starved, did not hear the whistle of bullets, did not see the bomb explosions. What do we know about the war? Only those who went through it can answer this question.

The war is a big shock for our country, it is a big loss, it is the ex-treme heroism of the Russian people. Unfortunately, it is difficult for us, the young generation, to feel the whole tragedy of those days when blood was paid for every step along the front road. It is difficult to imagine the labor exploits of women, old people and children - our peers who re-mained behind, the famine of the war years. Therefore, it is very impor-tant that the witnesses of those terrible years are still alive who can tell us about that time. Indeed, without the past there is no present.

Unfortunately, the war changed the whole way of life of people, broke all plans of not only Dagestan, but the whole country. The entire male population went to the front, and all the difficulties of peasant labor fell on the shoulders of the elderly, mainly women and children.

Years pass, decades change, and much of what has been extolled as glorious deeds that have lived for centuries has faded, but this feat - the feat of people in the Patriotic War - is desined to forever remain in his-tory. Fewer and fewer WWII veterans remain among us. Millions of peo-ple passed away not even feeling a little concern for them. So many veter-ans live in unsuitable little rooms. Every year, fewer of them remain with us..

The war passed through the fate of all the peoples of the Soviet Union. 1418 fiery days and nights of the battle with fascism fell on the shoulders of the inhabitants of my beloved village and all the peoples of the USSR.

75 years ago, one of the most terrible and bloody wars in the history of mankind ended. Our country paid a huge price for the Victory - more than 27 million people died. The Great Patriotic War was a real test for all people, accompanied by the loss of loved ones. The war continued for four long years. Heavy, debilitating battles, famine, the Leningrad block-ade, the Battle of Stalingrad did not break you.

Page 7: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

You walked towards imminent danger. You, the participants and the working rear of this terrible war, were able to withstand this enemy force, show the courage and fortitude of the Russian spirit. Your feat will not fade over time. The farther those terrible war years from us, the more we realize the greatness of this feat. The current generation must remember at what cost we were given victory in this terrible war, to honor the memory of the dead, to show tireless care for veterans. Indeed, thanks to veterans, today we can live under a peaceful sky, enjoy every day.

The war brought and brings people suffering, deprivation, misfor-tune. She touched everyone, as well as my family. I want to talk about this in more detail. This is about my great-grandfather.

My great-grandfather, Abdulkadyrov Mumin Abdulkadyrovich, was born in 1911 in the village of Yukhari-Arag of the Kyurinsky district (now Suleyman-Stalsky district) of the Republic of Dagestan in the working class family. He lost his parents very early. He later got over the death of his only brother, who could not stand the excruciating longing for his par-ents. Guardianship over the great–grandfather took over his uncle (as is customary among the highlanders). At twenty, my grandfather married a beautiful girl from his native village. Her name was Rahimat. They had two children. He lived like all Soviet people, made plans, thought about the future of his children, worked for the good of his homeland. Fascist Germany, meanwhile, has captured half of Europe. Hitler, drugged by easy victories, set his sights on our country.

My great-grandfather worked at oil fields in the city of Baku, was a member of the VP (b). On May 15, 1941, the Kirov RVC Baku was drafted into the Soviet Army and enlisted in 82 anti-aircraft artillery regi-ment. When the war began, he served near Moscow. From the first days of the war until June 1942, he fought in the ranks of 82 anti-aircraft artillery regiment. From June 1942 until the end of the war, he fought in the ranks of 54 anti-tank fighter brigades as a squad leader.

In 1942, in the Battle of Rzhev, my great-grandfather was injured by shrapnel and was forced to go to the hospital. As my grandmother re-called, my great-grandfather said that in his free time he was sitting near his weapon and cutting a stick. And mentally, he was in his native village, in the family circle, and thought about his beloved. At this time, he took the stick out of his hands, bent to pick it up. At that moment, a bullet flew past his head. So he survived. This is destiny.

Page 8: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

In the ranks of the Red Army, he reached Berlin and was among those who liberated the USSR and Europe from fascism. He was a partici-pant in the Victory Parade, which took place on June 24, 1945 on Red Square in Moscow. He was awarded the medals «For the Liberation of Moscow» and «For the Victory over Germany». Great-grandfather was demobilized on September 25, 1945 on the basis of a decree of the Presid-ium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

After the war, like all citizens of our country, he had to learn to live anew. Returning home, he became chairman of the Chkalov collective farm, worked as a party organizer, chairman of the Ashag-Aragsky Vil-lage Council (Republic of Dagestan). My grandmother told me that my great-grandfather did not like to remember the war. As soon as someone spoke about this, his face became angry, and in his eyes appeared longing, longing for his comrade-in-arms who lay down on the warpaths. Novem-ber 18, 1974, three years before the birth of my mother, at the age of 63 he died.

I really wanted to see, listen and hear him. Reading essays about the war, I see my great-grandfather in every hero.

Unfortunately, veterans are becoming less and less every day. Vet-erans are real heroes.

War is a very difficult test. You need to be a very courageous and strong person, without memory in love with your homeland. And for us, the young generation, it is important not only to remember the price of victory, but also to tell our children and grandchildren about this. We must love and respect the heroes of war.

I am endlessly proud that my great-grandfather was among those people who made a huge contribution to the Great Victory over fascist Germany.

We remember! We are proud!

Place of the Great Patriotic war in the history of our countryBeloussov Eugene / Белоусов Евгений, ДФЭКС – 11

Botcharnikova EkaterinaAlekseevna/ Бочарникова Екатерина Алексеевна

War is the most terrible thing that can happen in the fate of a person and the entire country. Ominous flames that burst into the sky and inciner-ate everything that gets in their way. Horror-stricken faces of women, children, and the elderly. The heart-rending moans of the wounded. The roar of guns. Zip. Pain, filth, hatred, and death are everywhere. This is war.

From 1941 to 1945, 1418 days lasted the difficult path of our peo-ple to the great Victory. How can I measure it? Battles, days, grief, suffer-ing, millions of lives. The heroes of the war won this victory for four diffi-cult years, not just putting their lives in mortal danger, but often giving it for their Homeland. These infinitely long four years that changed our lives, the lives of our ancestors and our descendants.

Any war is a very terrible event that entails terrible consequences. Devastation, millions of dead people, orphans-and this is just a small part of the results of this madness.

Since ancient times, wars have not stopped-they divide the land, re-sources, or even destroy other Nations. This is exactly what happened dur-ing the Second World war. Ruthless fascists did not stop at nothing, burned, killed everything and everything in their path. Many countries could not withstand the onslaught of the enemy, but the USSR not only fought back, but was able to completely destroy the evil forces. In this war, everyone lost a lot. Our country has borne the brunt of the struggle against German-fascist aggression. The gigantic battles of Moscow and Leningrad, Stalingrad and Kursk, on the Dnieper, in Byelorussia, in the Baltic States and East Prussia, in South-Eastern, Central and Northern Eu-rope, the Soviet troops inflicted a decisive defeat of the Nazis, who turned the tide of the Second world war and led to the Victory. This is beyond words. Brave and courageous citizens of the Soviet Union, sparing neither themselves nor their forces to the death, defended not only their families, but also the entire country. Thanks to such courageous actions, the war was won, but it took millions of souls with it into oblivion, broke many human destinies and left a deep mark on the hearts of those who happened to live in this terrible time. And now every year, on may 9, we pay tribute to all the veterans who once gave their lives for us.

Page 10: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

But still, what place does the Great Patriotic war occupy in the his-tory of our country?

The answer is obvious. Most significant. Our country made a huge contribution to this victory. Both on the front line and in the rear, non-stop work was in full swing, a constant struggle for life and freedom. The sol-diers, overcoming the unknown and restraining their fear, drove the Ger-mans away and went to their deaths. One word, a single thought – "vic-tory" - moved the Soviet soldiers, who had borne on their shoulders the entire horror of the war. And each of them has made a contribution to the common cause, each of them is already a hero, for life or posthumously. It was no easier for the home front workers. "People of various professions: workers of defense factories, collective farmers, teachers, medical work-ers, students, schoolchildren of the war years worked to the limit of hu-man capabilities in the rear in the name of Victory over the enemy. And are not those who worked in the rear participants in the war, which was popular? Haven't they suffered enough hardships? Would Victory have taken place without them? The rear is half the victory, even more. You can't argue with these words. All of them, each in his own place, forged the Great Victory of the people over Nazi Germany. They were the ones who won the Victory over the enemy in the deep rear during the war years: they grew bread, clothed and fed the Army, raised children, pro-duced tanks, planes, weapons, and built defensive fortifications. This gen-eration has experienced all the hardships of war, stood up and won. Their service to the Motherland is equal to a feat. All the people of our great power will never forget this bravery of their grandparents, great-grandpar-ents and great-grandmothers.

But not only do we honor our heroes with our thoughts, but a huge number of monuments to veterans and heroes of the Second World War were also erected. Many museums have been built which still contain the part of military events that we were lucky not to see. Every year on May 9, a parade is held in every city of our vast country in honor of the victory over Nazi Germany. This is a very interesting demonstration of our com-bat power. This shows that the heroic courage and contribution of each person to the victory are not forgotten. In addition, the theme of the great Patriotic war occupies a Central place in all Russian history textbooks. And this is true.

Page 11: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

The memory of the war has become a part of the self-consciousness of Russian citizens, because "there is no family in Russia that does not re-member its hero." And the Victory in the great Patriotic war became the very Patriotic Foundation that United all Russian citizens, the entire multi-ethnic Soviet people.

The further history pushes back the great Victory Day, the greater the unfading feat of our people rises above the world. Our valiant soldiers, who showed the world unsurpassed military skill, bravery and courage, proudly carried the battle banners covered with glory through all the bat-tles and battles and hoisted the Red Banner of Victory over the Reichstag in the capital of Nazi Germany. All this is not forgotten and sacred for us. This is frozen in stone and bronze monuments, memorials of Glory. This still sounds and excites people's souls with the words of songs and poems. All this should be forever in the memory of posterity, whose right to life and happiness came at such a high price.

Seven decades have passed since that great Victory. Time flies fast. Every year there are fewer living witnesses of the bloody battle, and fewer veterans come to the parade every year. Family archives store relics of that time: red army books, military tickets, awards, triangles of letters, fu-nerals, front-line photos, personal watches and other things that seem to concentrate the memory of the people. Memories of wartime relatives and friends - participants of front-line everyday life-continue to be passed from generation to generation.

We remember their great feat, their great victory over the enemy, their courage and selflessness. And it is our responsibility to convey to the next generation the awareness that their carefree childhood was washed in the blood of millions of people who left their lives on the battlefield in the distant forties.

For every day we live, for every dawn we meet, we should thank those young and beautiful girls and boys whose burned youth can`t be re-turned.

The great Patriotic War occupies a special place in the history of our country and all mankind. In terms of strategic significance, the four-year battle on the Soviet-German front became the main component of world war II. Our country has borne the brunt of the struggle against Ger-man-fascist aggression.

Place of the Great Patriotic war in the history of our countryFilatova Valeria /Филатова Валерия, ДИБСС-11

Fyodorova Olesya Viktorovna/ Федорова Олеся ВикторовнаThe Great Patriotic War is the most terrible war in the history of our

country and the whole world. This war left a deepest mark in the life of the entire population of our country (the Soviet Union), the victory came at very high a price, because millions who laid down their heads for their Motherland, for Stalin were someone else's husbands, wives, children, parents. Each Soviet family lost one of its relatives and friends, and some names, unfortunately, were completely destroyed. Some people believe that victory was worth it while others think that is not truth. Was the victory cost these casualties?

I believe that the victory was worth it. Many people died, but they gave life to more people. Even we now live thanks to these people who fought for victory. For example, the Great Patriotic war did not leave aside my family. My grandfather went through the whole war and, fortunately, survived. I am proud of him, because thanks to him and people like him, I live now. Also, thanks to the people who defended our homeland, we see a peaceful sky above our heads; we don’t see a war, which, as history shows, is merciless to everyone. Moreover, thanks to those people who gave their lives for their homeland, we live in such a state system. And no one knows, we would all now live in Fascist Germany. We do not know this and it is wonderful.

However, there exists another point of view on this issue. Many people have a different opinion. The first thing to be considered is that the war was not worth so many victims. Some say that victory would have been for our country anyway. And others generally say that a change in the political system would not harm the state in any way.

Nevertheless, one can consider this problem from another angle. I do not agree with that. The first thing to be considered is that everyone who participated in the war contributed, and everyone needed a contribution. These contributions, like small bricks, built a huge wall and its name is the Great Victory of the Soviet people over the fascist invaders. And the idea that now our country could not be Russia altogether excites the blood in my veins. Another fact is that the idea of a change in the political system to be unacceptable. We live in a beautiful peaceful state and should be proud of it.

Page 14: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, The war is long over. Already 60 years have passed since the day the last volleys died down. But despite this, we must remember that our grandfathers, grandmothers, great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers once breast-defended our homeland for us, for posterity. As far as I am concerned, it had been done for us to live and not to exist under the fifth fascist yoke. Their voices appeal to us, so that we cherish what they defended in the battles, for which they fought, protected their homeland.

Place of the Great Patriotic war in the history of our countryShigaeva Ekaterina / Шигаева Екатерина, ДФЭКС-11

Botcharnikova Ekaterina Alekseevna/Бочарникова Екатерина Алексеевна

Since the last World War II more than a dozen years have passed. This refers to the period from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945 and is used in Russia and other former Soviet republics on many fronts of the eastern part of II between Soviet and Nazi Germany. There wasn't a single family that didn't have someone killed, injured, or missing. Therefore, all Russian people who fought against German fascism will forever remain in our memory. Losses of the Soviet Union, according to various estimates, amounted to more than 26.6 million people. During the war, about 11 million military and 9 mil-lion civilians died. According to many historians, the Second World War is one of the most terrible and bloody. Soviet soldiers heroically defended ev-ery city. The townspeople rescued the sights of their pride, museums. It is worth noting that the partisans provided tremendous assistance to the Soviet army.

It is worth noting that the state supports the project dedicated to the great Patriotic war. For example, in Russia there are a number of government projects dedicated to victory. Two years ago, the Depart-ment of Defense launched the “Feat of the People” website, which helps people learn about medals received by their relatives, as well as specific cases that deserve this distinction.

Each military event is documented and stored in people's mem-ory. At schools and at university, history books focus on the study of World War II.

Most of the years that are deeds have been glorifying those veter-ans who are no longer there. Known in English as the Immortal Regi-ment, every year on May 9, tens of thousands of people in cities across Russia walk along the streets with portraits of relatives who fought and are no longer there.

While more than 70 years have been separating us from May 1945, victory is still very important for national identity, which can be seen in many events dedicated to May 9.

Page 16: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

The most significant project of recent years, the purpose of which is to preserve the life of the memory of the great deeds of the genera-tion of war, celebrates those veterans who are no longer alive. Known in English as the Immortal Regiment, every year on May 9, tens of thousands of people in cities across Russia walk along the main streets with portraits of relatives who fought in the war and are no longer living. The event is also celebrated worldwide, last year in 40 countries.

Similarly, fewer and fewer veterans appear at official events or-ganized on May 9th. The most popular meeting place for veterans is the fountain at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. There, veterans dress with medals attached to their old military uniforms.

The Immortal Regiment was originally a grassroots initiative put forward by journalists in the Siberian city of Tomsk, who wanted to continue the Soviet tradition of bringing photographs of relatives to war memorials. Responding to the call of activists, several thousand residents of the city took to the central streets of Tomsk on May 9, 2012 with posters with photographs of their relatives who partici-pated in the Great Patriotic War.

The Immortal Regiment is now a national movement and has a website where people can upload stories about relatives who partici-pated in the war. Currently, it has hundreds of thousands of stories making up the People’s Chronicle of the war.

On this occasion, many works of art were written and films were made. Thanks to them, we can at least imagine a little how people lived at that time, what they thought, how they endured the hardships of the war.

For example, Andrey Dementiev's work "the Ballad of the mother" was able to contain the pain that a mother experiences when she loses her only child. There is still hope in her heart that he is alive, that he will come and knock on the window. And never will the mother's heart, until her death, reconcile itself to the thought of his death, even if the reality points to the contrary.

And the work of Boris Vasiliev "and the dawns are quiet here" tells about the role of women in the war. A feat in war is a common thing, but a female fighter is something pathetically sacred, naive, and helpless.

Page 17: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

Not all heroines understand what war is, not all have seen death: they are young, diligent and full of hatred for the enemy. Here only to a meeting with the real war of the girl are not ready: the reality is more terrible and more ruthless, than young "fighters in skirts" could expect. They all die at the end of the work, they had relatives and friends, they had dreams, their whole life was ahead of them, but the war takes away from a person everything that is dear to him.

These 2 works are only part of what was created after the war. And very often it happened that real people became the heroes of these works.

St. George’s ribbon has been a tradition of Victory Day in recent years and has been distributed on the streets of major cities over the past 12 years. It seems to remind people of the heroes who died sav-ing people. Of course, not everyone understand why parades are held, why films are made, why this is held. This is necessary in to never who we should be for. We will always remember and be proud of her and other heroes of the Great Patriotic War. I am happy that I have some-thing special to tell about the Great Patriotic War to my children when I grow up. And I remember it too.

The Role of the Great Patriotic War in the History of our CountryVladimir Zaitsev/ Владимир Зайцев, ДИБББ-21

Shelepova Natalia Vladimirovna/ Шелепова Наталья ВладимировнаEverybody knows the terrible event that happened to our country on

June 22, 1941. The Great Patriotic War did not bypass and did not spare a single Soviet house. Everything that was connected with the war left a ter-rible imprint on the lives of people who once went to fight for their Home-land. War is not a simple word; it means pain, fear, death. Only those who came face to face with these terrible events in 1941 will understand this word. They went to the front without talking, without tricks, without fear. There was fear, of course, but it was primarily for their Homeland and for their family, and other things were not taken into consideration in any way. For me, the war is an echo of something terrible, sad, and I wouldn’t like it to happen again for no one else to be affected by it.

In the distant past, there were various wars in Russia, both with the French and with the Turks, and there was a revolution, but the Great Patri-otic War is incomparable with them. The figure of 26.6 million people who perished in that war is shuddering. The only thing that makes me happy is that our generation didn't feel it; but our ancestors suffered it in the far 1941. As I have earlier mentioned, everyone went to war, both the old and the young generations. In the place where I live – Astrakhan – the war passed by, but it passed by for the city itself, yet, people took part in different front-line actions. First of all, doctors were taken away, because you know, every severe injury should be under the control of a doctor, and here human lives were at stake. My family was also affected by the war, since there were doctors. My great-grandmother Olga Yakovlevna Kalin-ina, who graduated from Astrakhan Medical Institute in a short time, was immediately sent to the front line as a surgeon in the last years of the war. The experience was enormous. And my great-grandfather Shvarev Grig-ory Vasilyevich, who fought from 1939 to 1945, reached Prague and was shell-shocked.

It's a pity that I couldn't talk to my great-grandmother about this event since she died when I was too young, but I learned a lot from my grandfather's stories and thus, like many other people, I would not like this word "war" to sound anymore and happen in reality. I was lucky to be able to participate as a listener, and this means a lot, since live communi-cation is necessary for everybody.

It is very sad that today's young people do not understand this. The generation is different, nothing can be done about it: the digital era has come.

The role of the Great Patriotic War in the history of our country cannot be underestimated, it is simply impossible. And in our city there are a lot of places that are remembered as those connected with the war. This is Astrakhan Technical Institute of Fisheries (ATIF) (founded in 1930), today it is Astrakhan State Technical University, which, in the war years, produced specialists in various fields of training. Thanks to the graduates of ATIF, it was possible to complete the most complex techni-cal tasks on the creation of weapons, ships, ammunition and armored ve-hicles in the shortest possible time. In wartime conditions, scientific work was aimed at the maximum assistance to the defense industry: the orders of the State Defense Committee were fulfilled. All the laboratories were combined into one, whose task was to produce special-purpose supplies for the needs of the Stalingrad front. In order to provide food aid to the front, the Institute organized six-month courses for master-practitioners. Also, the University conducted training courses for military translators.

During the Great Patriotic War, Astrakhan region was the capital of hospitals in the South of the Soviet Union. We cannot but mention As-trakhan State Medical Institute. This Institute has a long history of its ex-istence. Before the war, the medical Institute in the years of cholera, plague, smallpox was able to save thousands of human lives. The military history of our Medical Institute is patriotic, and the current generation of competent young doctors is being brought up on it. It includes the partici-pation in the people's militia, and evacuation to Guryev, Kuibyshev and Barnaul, where the training of doctors continued. This is also a huge amount of work on chemical and air defense. Also, a special laboratory was opened for the production of incendiary mixtures for fighting tanks and armored vehicles of the enemy, in which B. I. Stepanov, E. I. Rudenko, I. I. Veprintsev, S. I. Gozdek actively worked. Professor B. I. Kurochkin developed a method for treating purulent wounds with a "mira-cle wand", which saved the lives of many soldiers.

The high level and authority of ASMI in those years were evi-denced by the fact that the decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR on the merging of Stalingrad, Astrakhan Medical and Leningrad Pediatric Institutes into one Medical University under the name of Astrakhan with its location in Barnaul was issued.

But the life decreed otherwise.

At the end of 1943, the Institute returned to Astrakhan. During the war, AGMI continued to train medical specialists so necessary at the front. Even in those most difficult years, the University was improving the educational, scientific and medical processes. L.E. Karsina, a hygienist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, was appointed to the post of rector of ASMI and, despite the difficult situation, complicated by the evacuation of the Institute to Kuibyshev, then to Barnaul and at last back to Astrakhan, she managed not only to preserve the independence of the Institute, but the equipment and scientific-pedagogical personnel.

I would like to say a few more words about the Astrakhan Ship-building-Shiprepair Plant named after M.S. Uritsky. At the beginning of the war, the plant mastered the production of flamethrowers, aerial sleds, and sapper equipment. Military products, including anti-aircraft guns, were installed on the trawlers and schooners. During the preparation of the fleet for the defense of Stalingrad the ships were equipped with minesweeping facilities. In 1942, during the defense of Stalingrad, most of the ships, produced by the Uritsky Plant, such as "Viktor Holzunov", "Joseph Stalin", "Martin Lyadov", "10 years of Compravda", "Commu-nist", and their crews were destroyed.

As you can see, the small city of Astrakhan had such a powerful im-pact on the front, so all heroic deeds and achievements of all people will remain in our memory and in the memory of our city for many years to come.

In conclusion, I would like to say the following: the younger gener-ation should appreciate the heroism and hard work of our ancestors, save documents, historical memorials and monuments and be grateful to their great-grandparents who fought for our future and independence.

Place of the Great Patriotic war in the history of our country

The Great Patriotic war is a terrible event in the history of our na-tion. She killed people, leaving children without parents and plundering of the city. It shed a lot of blood for the freedom and independence of the Motherland. The fate of many people remained unclear. According to the statistical data taking into account the population of the Soviet Union for four years killed about twenty seven million people, most of which, doubtless, were men. But incomplete account of the population of the So-viet Union until 1941, questioned the official figures of the dead. In fact, they were much more. The vast territory of the country was occupied, and thousands of towns and villages destroyed and destroyed, damaged price-less monuments of architecture, art and culture. That is why, despite the fact it's been many decades after the war, and already there was a change of generations, the war remains an integral part of the historical memory of Russia. As the world historical experience, events of this magnitude and this level of loss and destruction remains in the memory of genera-tions. The memory of the great Patriotic war still alive because this war was part of the Second world war (1939-1945), which involved dozens of countries on all continents.

In its consequences and scale of the Second world war surpassed all previous wars and conflicts. She split the world into warring blocs and parties. Most of all it struck Europe: after the war in 1945 was the destruc-tion of thousands of cities. In the course of this war exterminated whole Nations, for the first time in history was used such sophisticated and terri-ble weapons of mass destruction as the gas chambers, which are called "factories of death".

Soviet soldiers sacrificed their lives for the sake of the long-awaited victory. The heroism of these people sometimes bordered on madness. But it was beautiful madness. One of the German officers who were captured looked at the red army soldiers for a long time, and then said with a cer-tain envy: "This is the Russian spirit that I have heard so much about." Perhaps it's all in the Russian character, which is present recklessness, ro-mance and selflessness.

"Stand and forget about death!" - this order was given to his sol-diers by the General in Bondarev's work on the battle of Stalingrad.

In this case, fiction does not differ from reality. Defensive battles for this city began in July forty-second. The enemy disabled the railway

crossing over the Volga river. No city in the world has experienced such a massive air strike as this one. But still the Soviet army won.

The feat of the Soviet people has nothing to do with love for the all-powerful leader and fear of those who praise him. The heroism of the So-viet soldier is a desire to protect their land, at all costs to liberate it from the enemy's yoke. The Russian people showed extraordinary bravery. Many men and even very young boys, who seemed to have their whole life ahead of them, went to the front. Its inhabitants tried to help the coun-try as much as they could. Women took care of wounded soldiers on the battlefield, collected food and clothing for the injured and people in need of help, and even served in the red army! Children also tried to help the country and performed real feats. The war took away their happy and carefree childhood.

Do not forget about the women and children who tried to help the soldiers, working in different factories and making parts for equipment, dishes, and other necessary things. The work went on without stopping, the Soviet people stood at the machine for 14 hours, and everyone wanted to contribute to the victory.

Nurses were ready to lie down under bullets themselves, just to have time to save the wounded. But, unfortunately, the strength of the fas-cists was too ferocious.

History remembers the famine of Leningrad, occupied by the Ger-mans for almost 3 years. It seemed that we would not overcome the en-emy, and no one would ever know that there were such people on earth – Russians.

But we won this war, and it couldn't have been any other way. After all, our people did not want this blood, did not want war, did not seek to kill. We defended our Homeland, our close people, our homes and green forests, our warm rivers. That is why we won: we had love behind us, and the fascist soldier had blind hatred. And the Greatness of that war is that the Soviet man fought for life when others wanted innocent deaths. We, the younger generation, must learn to value peaceful life, because it was for this that our grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought in the war. The eternal flame of Victory must not be extinguished in our hearts!

Cost of the victoryIvanov Denis/ Иванов Денис, ДИПРБ 11/1

Korovina Inna Mikhailovna/ Коровина Инна МихайловнаAn important and significant date for many Russians is approach-

ing: Victory Day, May 9th. Seventy five years ago, on May 7, 1945, the troops of the Red Army and allies put an end to a long and bloody war; on May 8, the war ended for Europe, and by the morning of the ninth day the news reached the USSR in the voice of Levitan.

Nowadays, all around the world, Victory Day celebrations are held every year. In Russia, the attitude to this day is special: grand mili-tary parades, honors for veterans, from gifts and letters from the admin-istration, and to large official greetings with signs on houses with their names. People wear black and orange ribbons, which were originally not related to this war, hang “we can repeat” stickers on cars, fill social networks with posts with thanks to veterans and “patriotic” pictures. And all this is terribly disgusting.

Seventy-five years ago, the Great Patriotic War happened. During it, directly or indirectly, the entire population of the USSR took part. And many people did not survive this war. Eleven and a half million troops were killed on the battlefields. Thirteen million civilians died in the occupation zone, of which seven and a half were exterminated and two million died in the concentration camps. Many thousands died in the rear due to lack of food and huge amount of hard work. Over one and a half thousand cities and towns, over seventy thousand villages were destroyed, the country lost thirty percent of material wealth. The most severe losses, which the country was able to recover from in a short time only with all those who died, raising the country with their hard work.

The war deeply affects people as well. Fear turns into “if only there was no war, but then let even a fire happen”. People who remem-ber the war hunger, forever retained the greed for food. War especially affected soldiers. The human psyche is poorly adapted to war realities, and hundreds of thousands of killed and raped during the "Europe liber-ation” campaign of the Red Army only confirm this.

Page 25: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

But all this is shifting to the background before Pride. People who are not related to the war, who did not even live in the post-war years, shout about the greatness of a victorious country. People who do not know a single hero of the war except, perhaps, their relatives, one day in the year joyfully talk about respect and gratitude. War veterans in mod-ern Russia, like an expensive tea-set, stand alone on a shelf for a year to be bragged about and put back. Parents with children happily look at the newest tanks and the most highly trained soldiers. The war itself be-comes the pride of the country, because we are the most powerful coun-try, and we “can repeat it if needed”.

Sorrow remains somewhere out of business. The Immortal March from a people's march of sorrow and memory turned into a march of state employees, and all commemorations come down to a feast and al-cohol under a TV with a parade or old war films. New ones are no good. And every year there are fewer people who remember and mourn over those who died in that war. And fewer veterans who lived in those terri-ble years.

In the minds of present generations - war is something abstract, an image of the past with which they are not even connected. And Victory Day is a day of victory, and victory is always something good.

And why is a military victory not a reason for pride when every-one talks about it? But these people forget about the other side.

No military victory can obscure two important things. First one is that World War claimed the lives of tens of millions of people. And the second one is that if the war and the tragedies of this period, including the Holocaust, bring any lesson to us, then the main lesson is to never ever rattle with arms and fight with each other, that wars should not happen on out planet.

If the dead soldiers, or people tortured in concentration camps, looked at all this from heaven, what would they think? How would they perceive the annual booze and military fashion shows? What would they think when looking at survivors living in poverty and receiving candy postcards once a year?

You must not be happy looking at the tools made for killing peo-ple. And you must not be proud that your country can kill people better than others.

Page 26: astu.orgžбъявления/эсс…  · Web viewWith all my soul in this bright dayI want congratulate all thoseWho’re still alive through wars todayWhose links with our lives

We must not forget about veterans, most of whom are sick old people who do not need the honors and parades associated with their lives worst experience.

You must not turn the day of sorrow and mem-ory into fun festivities. You must not make na-tional bonds of war.And it is very sad that the biggest massacre in the history of

mankind is printed as the day when you can drink and look at the tanks on TV. And it’s sad that they think about veterans one day a year. And it’s sad that in the end we have millions of people who “can repeat”.

War is the worst thing that can happen to people, and we must do everything so that it never repeats. And a similar attitude to war as a source of pride and national bonds, but not suffering and sorrow, is unac-ceptable. We must remember the horrors of war and strive for a civilized life without wars and holidays about wars.
