4. Select "Factory data reset"

*If you have a screen lock, you'll need to enter your pattern, PIN, or password.


5. If your phone is password protected, you'll be prompted to enter your Pattern, PIN, or

Password.

Touch the "Reset phone" button.


6. Touch "Erase everything" to confirm.


Note: Once RESET was performed, all data, apps, settings and personal information will

be deleted after initialization.

If you cannot use "Factory data reset" function in Settings menu, you can use Recovery mode to

reset your device. To do a factory data reset, please see some examples below.

We suggest you go to local Service Center for repair if your problem still cannot be solved.

Wifi Symptom -

*WI FI sometimes work and sometimes not.

Check that the customer has rebooted their modem/router and verify with their hardware

vendor/provider that their router’s/access point’s firmware is the latest.

Alternatively verify they are on the latest BUILD for their ZE553KL (ZenFone 3 Zoom) device.

LCD Panel -

*This phone worked well for few weeks. But after that the screen response is not good and sometimes it

restarts by itself.

Camera-

*selfie camera produces flipped image

This is just an option in the Asus camera app –

Please have the customer go to camera>settings>Saved as flipped>turn it off (Tap to toggle it off).

Network-

*In the title say LTE unlocked but it is not supported by T-mobile Also there is a big problem with push

notification. It doesn't work I did factory reset too but not working.

All our unlocked GSM ZenFones when used in conjunction with a T-Mobile sim card will show 4G or 4G+

(Based on signal location) symbol meaning it is on the provider’s LTE network band. The 4G standard

encompasses LTE (Long Term Evolution) speeds. Most locked devices with their applicable carriers will

show an LTE icon, unlocked devices will show the 4G or 4G+ standard which encompasses LTE speeds.

Please also have the customer check with T-Mobile and put in the APN code from T-Mobile to camp on

the 4G/4G+ speeds of that carrier.

Push Notification can be toggled on/off under SETTINGS-POWER MANAGEMENT-POWER SAVER-

CUSTOMIZED MODE- TAP ON/OFF for [IM and other apps using push notification]

The cusomter would also need to be using our default ASUS messaging app for this to toggle properly. If

they are using a 3rd party messaging app, they will have to go into that menu to toggle on/off push

notifications.
