Brand Information

MAKE was co-founded in New York by Ariana Mouyiaris, daughter of Nikos Mouyiaris, a renowned makeup entreprenur and philanthropist. Ariana’s background outside of beauty in the design world, as well as her formative experiences growing up in and out of the makeup labs — with 30+ years of exposure to industry innovation and product development — informed her desire to create a brand that would be culturally relevant, socially minded and at the forefront of product innovation.

Ariana’s background is in design curation. She worked at Tyler Brûlé’s creative

agency Winkreative (Wallpaper* and Monocle) and for British designer Faye Toogood. Prior to opening her own creative consultancy, she received her masters in design curation from The Design Museum in London and her bachelors in international relations from Brown University.  The brand’s aesthetic is Modern and Minimal. A few of the distinctive aspects of the construction and design include the minimalist and timeless package design; the Art Deco Lipstick bullet; and innovative product formulations that address contemporary issues.
