you can expect.

Heading out of the Datai Bay we shall sail

on a broad reach for a couple of hours in the

direction of a group of three islands that are

lying in the Andaman Sea half way to the Butang

Archipelago. We then make a manouevre to

sail toward the steep cliffs of the Machincang

mountain range, south of Tanjung Chinchin,

the NW-tip of Langkawi island. There we find

shelter on the lee shore, have lunch then

enjoy kayaking, swimming, snorkelling or

just relaxing on deck, watching the eagles soar

above.

We will set sail again and head for home on

We have developed a tour as a special

introduction for first time sailors to take

the opportunity to discover their sea legs.

From the Datai Bay we sail north towards Koh

Tarutao, then head for the Machinchang coast

of Langkawi where we seek shelter under the lee

of the mountains to enjoy a swim before lunch.

Weather permitting we shall hoist the sails

again and sail in the Straits of Chinchin, the

channel between Langkawi and Koh Tarutao,

until it is time to return to the Datai Bay. With

the NE-wind blowing, this promises to be a

lovely sailing experience on board this authentic

Malay sailing vessel.
