At the start of the 1930’s was the financial crash, a lot of people were unemployed and had no home. That was followed by the wall street crash which was a big disaster. In 1966 England won the World Cup with a 4-2 win over west Germany. But the biggest thing in the 60’s was that Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon and that brought great joy to the world.

But a really sad thing about the 60’s was that Ruth Ellis got hung, but the good thing was after that hanging people in our country was banned. In the 60’s National Service ended so that meant no more short hair and you could wear what you wanted.

The first female Prime Minster in Britain was elected but the worst thing was that in most jobs you could only work three days a week so hardly anyone got paid much at all.
