An Exhibition of Work inspired by the Athenian Urban Experience

Artist Todd Lowerys recent work comprises the series Stin Pyra, Enoikiazetai, and Stratografia. Stin Pyra (Into the Pyre, 2009-2011) is a series of paintings on paper that center on civil unrest as viewed through internet imagery. Enoikiazetai (For Rent, 2013), a photographic series, focuses on recent economic change and its impact on affluent Athens suburbs. The oil paintings included in Stratografia (Layered Marks, 2012-2015) engage a sense of place and the Athenian urban fabric.
