ST ANN PARISH LIFE...come and be with us
Catholic Social Teaching Corner 18th Sunday of Ordinary Time In today’s Gospel, we hear the story of how Jesus fed the crowds with just five loaves of bread and two fish. “They all ate and were satisfied,” Matthew writes. Jesus does similar things with the small gifts we present to him. When we share our own gifts of time and talent, Jesus takes them, blesses them and multiplies them for the benefit of all.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR DONATIONS. If you were not able to attend Mass this past Sunday, please remember that your financial contribution continues to be important during these times. This is a tremendous financial strain on the parish budget. Your donations keep the lights on, pay the bills, and helps St. Ann to car-ry out its mission. There are a variety of ways to contribute:
• Mail your weekly contributions to the parish office (P.O. Box 99, Somerville, TX 77879)
• Contributions can be brought to the Church Rectory and dropped in through the mail slot in the rectory door .
• The St. Ann Building Fund will be collected this Sunday. BLESSINGS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF ST. ANN.

Prayer for Spiritual Communion
My Dearest Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacra-
ment. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive
You into my soul. Since I cannot, at this moment, receive
You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my
heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be sepa-
rated from You. Amen

The number for the Diocesan Pro-Life Helpline—1-877-WECARE2—is advertised throughout the diocese for those who are experiencing a difficult pregnancy and are in need of assis-tance (Gabriel Project) as well as for those suffering from a past abortion (Project Rachel). Trained volunteers, called Helpline Angels, provide a listening ear to the callers and offer referrals to meet their needs. Referrals may be for physical, spiritual, or prac-tical (material) assistance and include referrals to Parish Gabriel Projects, Gabriel Project Life Centers of Catholic Charities, and Project Rachel.
