What is Atomic Learning?
Video Content: Flipped Learning
“Flipped teaching has become a popular practice in which students learn new content online by watching videos, usually at home, and the classroom time then offers teachers more personalized guidance and interaction with students, instead of lecturing.
The online training series from Atomic Learning provides an overview of what flipped learning is and provides tips and tricks for creating videos for use when flipping a classroom.”-Atomic Learning: http://tinyurl.com/meurfh2
3 Ways to Use Atomic Learning in Your Instruction
IDEA #1: Business instructor pulls Microsoft Project training into their Learning Management System (LMS).Why: They use the training as an assignment in the first weeks of class to introduce students to the application which they will need to use during the rest of the semester and their final project.
IDEA #2: An instructor posts the What is Plagiarism? training in the News section of the students’ LMS. Why: Students are required to watch the video and come to the next class period prepared to discuss the video.
IDEA #3: Nursing instructor pulls in the APA Research Paper Basics series as a student resource. Why: Offers students an authoritative resource to refer to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
