Attendance Area Rules Regarding GE Redistricting Scenic Ridge / Cathedral Point and Southeast Quadrant

Q: If my family resides in the redistricted area shown above, will my child go to Glacier

Edge (GE) or Country View (CV)? A: Any child currently attending GE that lives in the orange area can continue to attend GE.

If you have an incoming kindergarten student (starting 1/11/2016 or after), your student will attend GE provided there is an older sibling who is currently attending GE and will be simultaneously attending GE with your Kindergarten child starting in the 2016 – 2017 school year. If no older siblings will be simultaneously attending GE, your incoming kindergarten child will attend CV.

Q: If I have a 5th grade student at GE this year and there will be an incoming K

student in the fall, will the K child go to GE or CV? A: CV Q: If I have older students who were at GE in the past but have moved on to MS or HS,

will my younger incoming K child go to GE or CV? A: CV Q: If I live on the North Side of M, will my child go to CV or GE? A: The north side of M will attend GE – Excluding Shady Bend Road (see map above –

orange shaded area attends CV). Q: If I live on Shady Bend Road, will my child go to CV or GE? A: Unless you have a child attending GE now (prior to 1/11/2016) and that child will still be

attending GE when a younger sibling enters Kindergarten, you will go to CV. Q: If I live in this redistricted area and my incoming K child is admitted into the TWI

program, where will they attend school? A: Assuming no older sibling already at / remaining at GE, most likely they will attend

Sugar Creek, depending on enrollment numbers in TWI.

Q: My family is considering building a home in the redistricted area in orange. My

children currently attend Glacier Edge. If we build this spring/summer, would my children still attend GE after we move?

A: If you move into your new home before the conclusion of the school year, your children will be allowed to finish out that year at GE provided you supply the transportation. Starting the next year your attendance area school would be CV

Q: If I want to enroll my child into a charter school, are children in this redistricted

given any priority weighting? A: No additional weighting / priority will be given to children from the redistricted area. All

other weighting provisions still apply. Q: Will GE be accepting any open enrollment? A: No, GE has not accepted any open enrollment for the last few years.

A: Any child currently attending GE that lives in the blue area can continue to attend GE. If you have an incoming kindergarten student (starting 1/25/2016 or after), your student will attend GE provided there is an older sibling who is currently attending GE and will be simultaneously attending GE with your Kindergarten child starting in the 2016 – 2017 school year. If no older siblings will be simultaneously attending GE, your incoming kindergarten child will attend SP.
