Early life
Myra was born on July 1, 1955. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan.
Occupation and achievements
Selby served as an associate justice on the Indiana Supreme Court from Jan. 1995 to Oct. 1999.
She was the first woman and the first African American to sit on the bench of the state's highest court.
Graduated law school from the University of Michigan Law School
She currently works at Ice Miller LLP (limited liability partnership)
Why are they important?
Myra C. Selby is important because she was the first black female to serve on the bench of the highest court
Why should they be looked up to?
This woman defiantly demonstrates GIRL POWER!! And Shows that if you set goals that you can achieve them no matter what!
