1. Have the athlete seated in front of you with their elbow slightly bent

2. Spray the elbow with tape adherent where the anchors will go (or indicate you would do so)

3. Using white tape, place an anchor over the mid bicep and the mid forearm*

4. With elasticon, run a vertical strip down the anterior elbow from one anchor to the other

5. Run a second vertical strip down the anterior elbow

6. Secure the elasticon strips with white tape anchors.

7. Wrap the entire tape job with a 3” or 4” inch elastic bandage.

3. Using a 6” ace wrap, apply the wrap in a circular pattern around the leg.

4. The wrap should begin distal and continue proximal

5. Secure the wrap with white tape anchors*

1i Skill: Groin wrapping

Skill steps: Peer Review/date

1. Have the athlete standing in front of you with the thigh in internal rotation and flex the quad

2. Spray the leg with tape adherent (or indicate you would do so)

3. Using a double 4” or 6” wrap, begin at the thigh pull wrap medial to lateral, and work toward the hip

4. When the height of the wrap is just below the hip, go around the body and pull down and in when you get to the groin.

5. Continue around the leg, around the body until the wrap ends

6. End the wrap around the leg

7. Secure the wrap with white tape anchors*

8. The key is to pull down and in with your wrap.

2. Have the athlete lie supine flat, with opposite knee bent to 90 degrees (foot on table)

3. Have the athlete raise the injured leg to level of bent knee

4. Have athlete repeat specified number of reps controlling the movement both up and down.

Extension

5. Have the athlete lay prone on the table face down with their feet hanging off the edge.

6. Apply the weight cuff around the ankle snugly putting velcro up**

7. Instruct the athlete to raise their injured leg approximately 10 inches off the table

8. Ensure that the athlete’s hips remain securely on the table ( the athlete should not rotate)

9. Have athlete repeat specified number of reps controlling the movement both up and down.

5. Have athlete repeat specified number of reps controlling the movement both up and down.

Adduction

6. Have the athlete lay on the table on the side that is being worked, with the opposite leg crossed in front of the working leg. The athlete should rest on their elbow.

7. Apply the weight cuff around the ankle snugly putting velcro up**

8. Instruct the athlete to raise their injured leg approximately 10 inches off the table

9. Ensure that the athlete’s body does not rotate forward or backward to compensate for the movement
