ARIZONA SCIENCE CENTER

Arizona Science Center provides exploration, education and entertainment for all ages. Nestled in the picturesque setting of Heritage and Science Park, the Science Center is a unique landmark designed by renowned architect Antoine Predock. The combination of ramps, hallways, galleries and terraces in this 140,000-square-foot building creates an intriguing environment of investigation and discovery. The Center contains four levels of exciting “hands-on” exhibits, a state-of-the-art planetarium, and a 5-story high giant-screen theater. The exhibits and galleries are designed to educate and entertain kids of all ages – from pre-K to gray! HEARD MUSEUM

The internationally acclaimed Heard Museum is one of the best places to experience the myriad cultures and art of American Indians of the Southwest. Located on Central Avenue in downtown Phoenix, the museum hosts 200,000 visitors a year and “provides Indian artists with a wonderful home that will excite and inspire visitors from around the world,” according to Arizona Highways. The museum’s 11 spacious exhibit galleries and beautiful outdoor courtyards feature outstanding traditional and contemporary American Indian art. PHOENIX ART MUSEUM

Since it opened in 1959, Phoenix Art Museum has become the largest art museum in the southwestern United States providing access to visual arts and educational programs in Arizona. In the last fifty years millions have visited the museum to view the over four hundred national and international exhibitions it has hosted. These are shown alongside Phoenix Art Museum’s collection that has grown to over seventeen thousand objects of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, photography, and fashion design. The museum hosts photography exhibitions through its landmark partnership with The University of Arizona’s Center for Creative Photography in Tucson. ODYSEA AQUARIUM

OdySea Aquarium, located in Scottsdale, was voted Best Indoor Attraction in Arizona. This multi-level, state-of-the-art facility holds more than 2 million gallons of water and is the largest aquarium in Arizona. OdySea Aquarium offers an educational, interactive and entertaining experience for guests of all ages by combining theme-park style amusement with highly engaging presentations of aquatic life. PHOENIX ZOO

The zoo has over 1,400 animals on display and contains 2.5 miles of walking trails It is divided into four main themed areas or trails: The Arizona Trail (American Southwest flora and fauna), the Africa Trail (animals from Africa), the Tropics Trail (residents of the rain forests), and the Children’s Trail, which includes a petting zoo.
