The Audience!

We all know it is vital to know what the audience loves and enjoy to watch. Not only could you specifically target your audience, but know that they are the ones most-likely going to watch your production.

When it comes to watching movies, television shows and plain old cartoons, they would more likely watch it on their television rather than anywhere else. This is because today's modern society, over 80% in civilized countries have access to television.

Watching movies & shows on television is becoming such a renowned thing, it'd be criminal if you haven't yet watched a single thing on television.

All people have their own tastes, and when it comes to television and other sources of watching things, it applies quite decently. Though television isn't the only place where one can watch things, technology is growing so fast new things are invented more than twice a month. Incredible!

Things to watch on & why!

Watching movies are one of the world's interesting things to do. It's becoming so common that your local devices are capable of running 90 minutes of film. Traditionally, movies are meant to be played in the Cinema, but that has changed quite some time ago. Nowadays, you can stop, play and rewind your movie using your device or television set. Why? Not only can you take breaks when you need to, but also replay a part if you have misheard it or enjoyed watching that particular part.

Why is doing this so important? Sometimes people prefer to do certain things in the comfort of their own home – one if them is, of course, watching films.

Technology is becoming so advanced it's unbelievable. Though, a lot of people do not like the rapid advance. Some people prefer to watch the movie in the cinema despite the fact they could stream it online.

Audience Expectations!

Sometimes the Audience expects a new thing. They may not like the idea of movies and television shows being able to watch any-time anywhere. This is where companies can use this opinion to reach out to the audience who are “afraid” of change. For example, Orange Wednesdays – Two for One cinema tickets! Going to the classic cinema has been the option for many years, and some people prefer it that way.

Film distribution companies generally release films on Friday to see how well it does until the Monday. Because of this new deal that Orange have created, it has encouraged many people to go to the cinemas despite the fact that watching something is probably available on the internet.

It has also given the chance for distributors to release the films on the Wednesday instead.

How far would You go?

Nowadays, the audience are relying purely on reviews (which could be biased at times). Because of these reviews, it could potentially persuade or “put off” the audiences from actually watching the programme or film.

Sometimes, the person would avoid listening to the bad reviews, watch the film and then give their honest opinion about it (which is frequently good, depending on what they watch).

Depending on what kind of movie or show that the film company have produced may sometimes restrict you or encourage you to watch that filmed purely because of the genre, reviews or ratings.

When it comes to the audience supporting their favourite films and shows, they can choose to support it by giving honest reviews on sites such as: www.imdb.com, www.rottentomatoes.com, and www.totalfilm.com. The audience particularly rate a film due to it's cleverness, feeling or moments it may have contained.

Without an audience, there is no film.
