It also supports the strategic management of inclusion right across

the school. Track money spent and staff hours. Log interventions

and pupil involvement. Pinpoint which interventions are working,

and which are performing sub-optimally.

Audit• Inclusion Register: identify areas of need across the school

• Pupil Profile: record strengths, barriers to learning, effective strategies

Provision Map Writer (PMW) gives a clear insight into Pupil

Premium spending and effectiveness.

SIMS stores a Pupil Premium Indicator (PPI) which records pupils who attract

PP funding. This data is imported into PMW so that schools can monitor and

evaluate the effectiveness of additional provision for those pupils specifically.

For non-SIMS schools PPI is automatically calculated by PMW.

Monitoring your Pupil Premium• compare effectiveness of interventions in terms of outcomes and cost for

PP-entitled pupils with other pupil groups

• compare effectiveness of PP-funded interventions with those

funded differently

• produce a provision map of PP-funded interventions

• produce reports on PP for school’s website as required by DfE

• monitor PP funding spend, balance and cost-per-pupil.
