(we still had no idea!)

Oh Damn! (and that means there’s about a meter of water in

our basement too)

Uh oh! The current stopped. Here comes the Mad

Lake-front property!

Time to go NOW!

Looking back, while wading away (no current so it was safe to wade,

but…, tears, concern…

This was the crest (about 8PM)

• Almost a half meter less than 1927• but about 2 meters more than any• flood since then.

tractors that helped with this stuff.

• We are scrubbing and disinfecting inside,

• we probably have to remove some floors,

• then we will heat to dry things out,

• then we can start reconstruction…,

• and, maybe, move ourselves back in to the upstairs,

• and eventually move stuff back in and reinhabit the downstairs!

• It’s a stretch to call it a war zone, but we have been in a battle. Having to fill in paperwork during the heat of battle would be (to keep it polite) very unhelpful. Our zoning administrator is filling in all the forms herself. That’s huge.
