New Start Time

To increase the students’ learning time, school will start promptly at 9am this year. Students arriving after 9am will be counted as tardy. Please note that under state requirements, schools are to record and keep track of each minute a student is not in school. This means that we are also required to keep totals and send notices home to families if the following thresholds are exceeded for truancy.

• 30 or more consecutive hours

• 42 hours in a month

• 72 hours in a year

It is always our desire that students are attending school so they are maximizing their learning potential. This is important to keep in mind for appointments and vacations. We sincerely want to work with each family to insure students come to school everyday excited and ready to learn!

Box Tops benefit Wayne Trail Elementary!

Student Council ended the 2018-2019 school year with 3 successful

collections to help others and ourselves. Thanks to all of the families who

helped us out with these collections! Students donated 31 pairs of used eye

glasses that were sent to New Eyes for the Needy. In addition, over 24 lbs. of

pop tabs were delivered to Ronald McDonald House to provide money for

snacks and food for the families living there. Finally, our end of the year,

Boxtops campaign provided over $240 for our school. Although, we won't

receive this check until after the new year. We will continue these campaigns

throughout the school year. Please continue to send in your donations!

See the flyers below for new rules for Boxtops collections. Shoppers will

only have to set up an account with General Mills and scan their receipts. We

will still collect the boxtops that need to be clipped until all of those are

out of circulation. Thanks for supporting Wayne Trail Elementary!
