О. Еміліян (хрeщений Мирославом) Дорош народився у

м. Червонограді, Львівської области, у 1978 році.

Закінчивши гірничий технікум у 1997 році, Мирослав вступив

на кандидатуру до Василіянського монастиря у Крехові.

Після двох років перебування у Крехівському монастирі бр.

Еміліян згодився їхати до США на навчання та працю.

Закінчивши філософію у коледжі у Orchard Lake, MI. V 2006

році, він поїхав вчитися до Риму звідки повернувся до Штатів

2013-го і був призначений помічником пароха у ц. Чесного

Христа, у Асторії.

А у травні 2016-го – Протоігумен Василій за благословенням

Єпископа Павла призначив о. Еміліяна на Адміністратора

ц. Св. Юра v N[ Jorku.

Fr. Emilian (baptized Myroslav) Dorosh was born in the city

of Chrvonograd (Lviv region) in 1978.

After graduating from high school and a technical school in 1997,

he entered the Basilian novitiate monastery in the village of

Krekhiv (Lviv region).

He came to the US in 1999, as a brother-monk, to study and work.

Brother Emilian left for Rome in 2006 to continue to study for

priesthood after graduating from St. Mary’s College, Orchard

Lake, MI. In 2013, he returned to the US as a priest and was

appointed an assistant pastor at the Holy Cross parish in

Astoria, NY.

Since 2016, Fr. Emilian served as the Administrator of

St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lower Manhattan, NY.

STEFAN FEDENKO 01.03.27 - 03.20.20

Stefan Fedenko was born on January 3, 1927 in the village of Uherci, now Horodok near Lviv, western Ukraine. His family included parents Ivan and Fevronia Fedenko, 3 brothers: Oles, Volodymyr, Mykola and sister, Mariyka. Stefan attended school in Uherci through 5th grade, 6th-7th were in Horodok, and studied in Lviv from 1942-44. At 17 years of age, in April, 1944, Stefan was arrested together with his father, and spent more than a year in German prisons and concentration camps in Dachau, Gross Rosen, Sachsenhausen, and others. Once the Germans lost and the war ended in May 1945 he was released. In 1946, Stefan graduated from high school with honors in a camp for Displaced Persons in Karlsfeld near Munich. For the next four years he studied philosophy and theology in Germany and Holland. From 1945 Stefan became a member of Plast and in 1947 joined the fraternity "Order of the Crusaders (Chrestonoszi)". He was very active in Plast as a youth counselor and years later was also elected as branch leader in Detroit in 1975. In 1950, Stefan emigrated to the United States. In 1951 he was drafted into the US

Army during the Korean War where he served two years in Co. H 86th Infantry Regt. 10th Division. Between 1953-1956, Stefan studied mechanical engineering at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. In 1956, Stefan became a founding partner of "Cylectron Corporation" which was engaged in the precise tooling and manufacture of complex products for aerospace, research and development. On February 23, 1957, Stefan married Anna Drohomerecka (daughter of Maria and Mykola) and later became the father of two girls, Marijka, married to Alex Oleksiuk (Grandchildren - Damian and Christine) currently in Arkansas and Colorado, and Donna, married to Markian Fedorowycz (Grandchildren - Olenka, Levko, Lys and Kalyna) living near Los Angeles, CA. There is family left in Ukraine, Spain and Canada. In 1984, Stefan became co-founder and member of the Ukrainian American Veterans Michigan Post 101. When the idea arose to build a church in Warren, Stefan organized a big concert in Detroit at the Light Guard Armory which was attended by more than 3,000 people and a substantial amount was raised to build St. Josaphat Church. Stefan was an active and devoted member of the St. Josaphat church committee and choir. There were almost no church services, weddings and funerals without Stefan's singing. Knowing the details of the Liturgy and daily church services from his Seminary studies, Stefan organized and prepared the information and solo parts for other choir members. When the conductor of the church choir was not available, Stefan was always there to help. Stefan belonged to the Parents Association supporting the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic schools for 7 years, acting as President and chairman. In 1993, Stefan retired and lived in Warren, Michigan, giving him time to work on his memoirs. In 1996, at his own expense, Stefan published the book "ROZLUKA", dedicated to his parents Ivan and Fevronia. The book details memoirs from the WWII, Stefan’s arrest and survival through German concentration camps. Stefan organized a presentation of the book in Kyiv on October 21, 1996 for scholars, historians, survivors and students. In 2014, Stefan’s grandson, Damian Oleksiuk, translated the book into English. On December 5, 2017, Stefan and Anna moved to California to be closer to their family and grandchildren.

God has given appropriate gifts to all, but we need to develop them. Stefan Fedenko used his many gifts by dedicating himself to consistently serving his Family, Ukraine, our Church and Community every day. Whether it was snowing or raining, Stefan was in church at 7:00am. His guiding motto was: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ!". In 2010, we celebrated Stefan's 60 years of service. We are grateful to God for Stefan's life and pray for God to reward him for his exemplary life of devotion, service and love for Ukraine, the Ukrainian church and our community. We honor and will always remember his sacrifice, generosity and willingness to help, advise and comfort. We pray to the all merciful God for Stefan’s soul in Heaven where there is no pain, no sorrow, no worry and infinite life.

СТЕПАН ФЕДЕНКО 01.03.27 – 03.20.20

Степан Феденко народився 3 січня, 1927 в с. Угерці, тепер Угри Городоцького Району Львівської области, у родині Івана і Февронії Феденко. У нього були 3 брати: Олесь, Володимир, Микола і сестра Марійка. Степан закінчив пять клясів народної школи у рідному селі, шостий і сьомий у Городку. Впродовж роки (1942-44) Степан навчався у ремісничій школі у Львові. Разом з батьком, Степан був арештованиий, і понад рік перебував у німецьких тюрмах і концтаборах Дахау, Ґрос Розен, Заксенгаузен, та інші. В травні 1945р, при кінці війни, вийшов на волю. У 1946 р. Степан закінчив гімназію з відзначенням в таборі для переселенців у Карльсфельді біля Мюнхена. Упродовж наступних чотирьох років він вивчав філософію і теологію в Німеччині та Голландії. Від 1945 р. Степан став членом Пласту і в 1947 р. вступив до братства

"Орден Хрестоносців". Він був дуже активний у Пласті як кошовим, юнацьким виховником а теж вибраний станичним Дітройтського Куреня 1975. В 1950 р. Степан емігрував до США. У 1951 р. він був покликаний до американського війська підчас Корейської Війни де він відслужив два роки. Між 1953-56 рр. Степан навчався на інженера - механіки при Вейнському Університеті у Дітройті. В 1956 р. Степан став спільником підприємства "Силектрон Корпорейшен" яка занималася точним виготовленням складних виробів для літальних, космічних і науково-дослідних виробництв. У 1957 р. Степан одружився з Анною Дрогомерецькою (донька Марії і Миколи) і став батьком двох дівчат Марійки і Дани. Марійка заміжна за Олесем Олексюком (Внуки- Дамян і Христя). Молодша дочка Дана заміжна за Маркіяном Федоровичем (Внуки- Оленка, Левко, Лис і Калина) і живе в Каліфорнії, біля Лос Анджолесу. Залишилася велика родина на Україні, в Еспанії і кузини мешкають в Канаді. В 1984 р. Степан став співосновником і членом Українських Американських Ветеранів Станиці 101. Степан все помагав своїй родині в Україні і також ділився своїми заробітками з другими. Він вклав багато праці і матеріяльно допомагав на церковні і шкільні цілі. Коли виникла ідея будувати церкву у Ворен, Степан зорганізав великий концерт в Дітройті (Light Guard Armory) при 8-мій милі і Раєн, на який прийшло понад 3 тисячі людей і де зібрано багато грошей на будову церкви Св. Цосафата до якої він належав. Степан став членом церковного комітету, і членом улюбленого хору. Не було церковних відправ, весіль і похоронів без співа Степана. Він також, знаючи церковні відправи, організував співаків із ними дякував на всіх різдвяних і великодних відправах. Коли не було дириґента церковного хору, то Степан заступав його. Для наших шкіл Непорочного Зачаття, Степан 7 років належав до Батьківського Комітету, бувши головою і заступником голови. У 1993 р. Степан вийшов на пенсію і мешкав у м. Воррен, Мічиган. В 1996 р. Степан власними коштами видав книжку "РОЗЛУКА", спогади із Другої світової війни, про переживання в німецьфких кацетах. Цю книжку він присвятив своїм батькам Іванові і Февронії. Степан її написав українською мовою і мав презентацию книжки у Києвіб 21 жовтня, 1996 р. Внук, Дамян Олексюк переклав книжку в Англійську мову в 2014 р. 5-го грудня, 2017 р. Степан і Анна перенеслися ближче до родини і внуків у Каліфорнії. Всім Бог дав відповідні дари, але їх ми потребуємо розвивати. Степан Феденко не тільки їх розвинув а використав відповідно. Степан з надзвичайною посвятою постійно служив нашій церкві безкоштовно і то щоденно, чи сніг чи дощ, він у 7 годині рано був у церкві. Його клич був: "Друг друга тяготи зносіть, і так сповните закон Христовий!". У 2010-му році ми відсвяткували 60-тий ювілей Степана діяльности у Дітройті.

Ми вдячні Богові за Степана життя; а тепер молимо Бога, щоби дав йому нагороду за його гідне до наслідування активно-прикладове парафіяльне служіння. За його жертвенність, щедрість і готовність помогти, порадити, потішити - ми йому вдячні навіки. Молимо всемилостивого Бога, щоб посилив йогу душу між праведними де немає ні болю, ні журби, ні печалі, а є життя безконечне.
