Instruction includes multi-level bullets/numbering , section formatting attributes, headers & footers and complex page numbering. September 16, 2016 • 12:00-1:30pm • 1.5 CLE Hours Advanced Styles with Automatic Paragraph Numbering Using Styles and controlling which ones appear in the document is not magic – it is simply a function of understanding how to create, modify and apply the function. This class will unlock the door to complete mastery of Styles…and creating incredible documents as a result. September 23, 2016 • 12:00-1:30pm • 1.5 CLE Hours Tables of Contents and Authorities, Paragraph Cross References and Document Automation How can one automatically generate and update tables of contents, authorities and paragraph cross references in a complex and ever-evolving document? Class 5 will thoroughly explain the hows, and will also teach document automation using Macros, AutoText and Mail Merge. This class is a must for brief drafters. September 30, 2016 • 12:00-1:30pm • 1.5 CLE Hours Protecting Work Product and Rescuing Broken Documents... No Matter How Bad They Are The sixty page brief is done and is a work of art, even having gone through a myriad of changes from different sources. But then... The worst thing one can hear after laboring forever on a document is that it is lost! Corrupt! Irretrievable! This class will teach you that nothing is ever really lost. October 7, 2016 • 12:00-1:30pm Optional Competence Examination In order to sit for this exam, classes 1–6 are required. A minimum of 80% is required in order to pass this competence exam. Successful test takers will receive a certificate evidencing Word Competence.
