The Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for the Month of August

Artists. That artists of our time, through their

ingenuity, may help everyone discover the

beauty of creation.

The Fourth Apparition in August The children, Lucia dos Santos, Francisco and

Jacinta Marto, were summoned to court due to the

apparitions. Lucia feared she would be killed.

Jacinta had felt the same way and had cried.

Our Lady had spoken to the children. She

had told them about continuing to come to Cova

da Iria, to pray the rosary every day, that some of

the sick will be healed, to pray a great deal, to use

the money left at the Cova to build a chapel, to

make sacrifices for sinners for many souls go to

Hell for there were no one to pray for them, and

about the miracle that was about to come in Octo-

ber.

To commemorate the centenary of the miracle

of Our Lady of Fatima, Mass and a rosary proces-

sion will be held, on September 13, Wednesday at

6:30pm.

Remembering Steven Tipping Please pray for the repose of the soul of

Steven Tipping. Steven passed away suddenly, Fri-

day, August 11.

Steven and Lu and their family have been pa-

rishioners at St. John’s for many years. Lu quotes

how Steven was very gratified, as an Episcopalian,

to come to St. John and experience its cultural di-

versity.

The parish extends its deepest sympathies to

Lu Tipping and their children. We pray for the

peace of Our Lord to dwell upon Steven and his

family.
