QB CREW

Getting out to a BC Lions game can make for a pretty exciting afternoon activity, but for a select few, this experience is even better than most. Jeff Rae has been working with BC Lions Quarterback, Travis Lulay to create the QB Crew, where a few Special Olympic Athletes get the chance to not only go to a live home football game, but also get to meet the famed Quarterback! Each athlete receives a free t-shirt, picture, autograph, and the chance to meet Travis himself. This is a great opportunity for these athletes, though Jeff may argue that the best part of all is getting to see the looks on

their faces all afternoon.

TEAM BORIS GRINDS FOR ALZHEIMERS

On September 29, 2013, Team Boris will hike the Grouse Grind in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Natasha Rohla from Jim Pattison Chrysler Jeep Dodge and her team will be fundraising in support of her Grandpa Boris, who has been battling Alzheimer’s since 2005. They would love to accept anything that you are able to donate to help them reach their goal.

The Mt. Kilimanjaro Grouse Grind for Alzheimer’s is a team oriented fitness fundraiser that takes seven trips up the Grouse Grind to equal one ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Please join her in ending the stigma of Alzheimer’s disease as it isn’t just about our parents’ generation – it’s about ours.

For more information, check out their team page at http://www.alzheimerbc.org

JIM PATTISON MAKES THE LARGEST DONATION EVER ON VANCOUVER ISLAND TO VICTORIA HOSPITAL

Jim Pattison will make up to a $5 million donation to the Victoria Hospitals Foundation to support its Building Care Together campaign. His identity was made public at a presentation and unveiling of the new sign in the lobby of the patient care tower, now named the Jim Pattison Atrium and Concourse at Victoria’s Royal Jubilee Hospital. The new patient tower that was completed in 2010 now makes Royal Jubilee Hospital the largest hospital on Vancouver Island, where it sees about 90,000 patients a year.

“[Royal Jubilee] as I understand it, is the main hospital on Vancouver Island,” Jim said. “So the more we can do to help the better.”

Thanks for your help and support Jimmy! Your donation will help purchase the much needed equipment for this new wing and touch thousands of lives.

TEAMWORK

TARGET ACHIEVED

Jim Pattison Toyota Surrey hit their Toyota new car target for the

month of July! All of that sun must have been a good motivating tool

for their sales team.

CSI SCORES

Congratulations to Jim Pattison Hyundai Coquitlam for finishing

1st in CSI in their category with an overall CSI score of 95.6!

RAY, THE TOOL MAN

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

GREAT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

“I just purchased a 2013 Dodge Journey R/T Rallye just the other day

and I must say, it is the most pleasant experience that I have ever had

in over 10 years when visiting a car dealership. I was nervous at first,

but the customer service that I got blew me away. Jim Pattison Auto

Group dealers rule in my opinion. I went to KIA Applewood and they

weren’t nice at all. Nowhere near close to the customer services I got

with Jim Pattison sales reps and managers. You have made a believer

in me that not all car dealers are alike. Jim Pattison Group stands out

of the crowd. I so plan to return again in 5 years to buy another car if

not sooner once I pay this finance off!”

4 AUGUST 2013 NEWSLETTER

Sean Burns, Service Advisor for Metro

Toyota Duncan, was caught in the act

of a perfect example of ‘Teamwork’

and ‘Titles Don’t Matter’ when it comes

to Customer Service at Metro Toyota

Duncan. Sean noticed that a customer

was waiting to talk to a Product Advisor,

but they were all currently engaged with

clients. So, he jumped into action to assist

the customer with her vehicle purchase

questions until a Product Advisor was

available. Way to go Sean!

“We bought a nice Toyota Sienna at Metro

and are very happy with the services and

car features. John Reid helped us to find

the right car for our family and also made

sure that everything was ready on the

pickup date - insurance, number plates,

and a nice shampoo. I also like to point out

that John and his team never pushed us

but helped us to identify the right car selec-

tions and the best choice in terms of value/

cost benefits. Great dealership with a wide

selection of great cars and services!”

Ray Murphy from Jim Pattison Toyota

Surrey proved to be handier than Tim

“The Tool Man” Taylor when it came to

helping a customer with her wheelchair.

As Ray was helping a customer put her

wheelchair into her loaner vehicle, he

noticed that part of it was broken. Not

thinking twice, he repaired it for her and

then continued to help her get it into the

vehicle. The customer was so overjoyed

that Ray was able to help. Way to go Ray

for really going above and beyond!

Do you like to cook? Do you think that you have the best salsa or dessert recipe kept under lock and key? Are you ready to put it to the test?

The North Surrey Auto Mall’s Annual Car-B-Que is coming up quickly and there is still room to register for both the Salsa and Dessert Competitions. As a member of the Jim Pattison Auto Group, you are eligible to win the trophies and ribbons like the general public but we will also add a BEST STAFF entry for each category! The best part is the $10 entry fee will be waived for any staff who participates in the salsa or dessert competitions.

Here is how the two categories work:

Dessert The dessert category is open to the competitors and the public, which also includes YOU! Anything goes that DOES NOT REQUIRE REFRIGERATION. Desserts can be submitted whole or in portions (minimum six portions). They can be made on-site but must be homemade. A complete description of the dessert must accompany the entry.

Salsa Salsa can be made with any combination of ingredients you want (should not be deadly hot) and will be judged with plain tortilla chips. This entry can be made on-site but again, must be homemade, not store bought. A complete description of the salsa must also accompany the entry.

We define salsa as: A spicy sauce of chopped, usually uncooked vegetables or fruit, especially tomatoes, onions and chili peppers, used as a condiment.
