The Supreme Court of India ruled that the right to receive pension cannot be taken away from a government employee pending departmental or criminal proceedings.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) permitted the premature encashment of 8 percent savings (Taxable) Bonds for individual investors who are 60 years and above in age.
