Actuals @ Consolidated Master
Real-time reporting of actual key figures with respect to consolidated master
data
Example: Enterprise wide monitoring of open invoices and payments (HANA) for
customer and customer groups (BW)
Real-time Exploration @ Consolidated Master
Explorative investigation of line-item data, e.g. data mining, with respect to
consolidated information
Example: Analysis of shopping baskets (HANA) during campaigns with respect
to harmonized product data (BW)

Delivered with SAP NetWeaver 7.30 BI Content 7.37 SP07, SAP NetWeaver 7.31 BI Content 7.47 SP07, SAP NetWeaver 7.4 BI Content 7.47 SP07
• Business need: Customers want to achieve more transparency across the organization on their
product cost and material expenses. Focus is on raw material prices and on commodity prices
as primary cost drivers.
• Based on the standard product cost calculation of the SAP Business Suite (CO-PC), this
solution forecasts and simulates future product costs and their impact on the company spend
and margin
• Forecasting and simulation parameters (“drivers” e.g. commodities, FX) are changed using
input-ready queries similar to other planning applications.
• Complex calculations using SAP HANA capabilities for Product Cost Forecast and What-If
simulations
• LSA++ Architecture
• Virtual Data Mart Layer
• Higher level of detail (down to line item level)
• Pattern: Complex Calculations
