GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

Eligibility to Participate

Attendance to the ELA & Math ESYP Credit Recovery for grades nine and ten @ NFA Main

is as follows: First priority will be given to students who need to recover one or more

courses in ELA and in math. In order to successfully complete the course work, students

should complete successfully all of the assignments given in class.

Bell Schedule

There will be three periods in summer school. The times are as follows:

Period #1: 8:30 AM—9: 45 AM

Period # 2: 9: 50 AM—11: 10 AM

Period # 3: 11:15 AM—12: 25 PM

Dismissal: 12:25-12:30 PM

Registration of District Students Who Attend the NECSD

In order to register for the ELA & Math ESYP Credit Recovery Program, all students

should see their guidance counselors. Students at The Newburgh Enlarged City School

District should see their school counselors as well for registration.

Registration of District Students Who Attend a Private or Parochial School

Eligible, non-public school ninth and tenth graders, who reside within the NECSD, must

register by Friday, June 24th between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, at the Office of Registra-

tion, located at 124 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550.

NOTE: before coming to register, please call (845)568-6515. Students must bring the

following:

Letter from the student’s school principal indicating the classes the student needs to

take

Proof of Residency (tax bill, telephone bill, or electric bill).

Birth Certificate

Proof of Immunization

Picture ID of parent/guardian who is registering the student

Attendance

Students with more than three (3) absences will be dropped from the course. Please

note that three (3) tardies equal once absence.

Code of Conduct

Students will be dismissed from the Extended School Year Program for conduct that vio-

lates the District’s Code of Conduct. All students will be expected to demonstrate appro-

priate behavior throughout the duration of the program. Students will also be required

to adhere to the Newburgh Free Academy School Dress Code.

Dates: Tuesday, July 5, 2016 to Friday, August 5, 2016 Reporting Times: Period # 1: 8:30 AM—9: 45 AM

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

Eligibility to Participate

Attendance to the grade 12 ESYP @ NFA Main is, as follows: First priority will be given to

students who need to recover one or more courses in order to graduate in August 2016.

Second priority will then be given to students eligible for graduation of January 2017.

Then, if additional space is available, students needing to recover one or more field

courses in order to be eligible for graduation of June 2017 can be registered.

Residency Requirements

Grade 12 students who reside within the Newburgh Enlarged City School District (NECSD)

and attend Newburgh Free Academy will be able to attend the 2016 Extended School

Year Program at no cost. Grade 12 students who reside within the NECSD and attend a

non-public school will be able to attend the Program at no cost, with a signed letter from

the school principal authorizing enrollment in the Program.

Registration of District Students Who Attend the NECSD

Grade 12 students who attend either campus of Newburgh Free Academy must meet

with their school counselor at the campus prior to Friday, June 24, 2016, in order to

register.
