FINDING YOUR STRENGTH
OUR MISSION STATEMENT AND PURPOSE
To provide an opportunity for women to meet regularly in order to build their businesses through network-
ing and to foster the development of women in the community through social networking and scholarship
opportunities. We shall provide social and educational meetings which will focus on business opportunities
and development for women.
President’s Message
Who doesn’t love Wine Down Wednesday! July’s meeting was a fun, social gather-
ing. The Harte of the Kitchen was a great place to network and shop! I look forward
to going to their Thursday night Sip & Snacks! Thank you to everyone who came
and per usual, thank you for making our raffle such a fun success! It was also great
to see previous members come visit as guests.
Over the past few months, the board has been working on re-establishing reciprocal
memberships with other organizations in the community. Our newest reciprocal
membership is with SCORE! Together we hope to collaborate our efforts/events to
maximize business opportunities for our members. Please keep a look out on our
website (under membership) and on Facebook for any business building events that
may help your business grow! In turn, if you have any events that you’d like to pro-
mote please send them to Bonnie Bettencourt who will also send to SCORE to be
promoted via their website/Facebook.
As a follow up to the Expo Survey, I’m happy to report next year’s Expo Committee
has been formed and they are already hard at work creating and implementing
more promotion efforts. Thank you again for your feedback.
Lastly, we are starting to gather interest for our 2019 Board. The Board Membership vote is in
September. If you are interested in being a board member, please contact Margaret Lawrence.
I highly encourage board participation as a great way to learn the workings of our group as
well as contribute to our great Network. We welcome newcomers and returning board mem-
bers! Your time & contribution is so appreciated!
Kindly,
Nicole Kikugawa, Board President

I want to say a huge thank you to Becky Selby, 3B's Event Planning for plan-ning and organizing my 20th Anniversary of being in practice open house. It was stress-free and very enjoyable for me. I also want to thank the TCWN members that attended and for the kind words and en-couragement. Also, the warmest appreciation for all my patients that made it possible for the 20 years to celebrate!

Hello my name is Becky Selbee and I have lived in Tuolumne County since July 1999 with my husband David and 4 of our 6 children. We have 2 adult chil-dren who stayed in New Mexico when we moved here. The rest of the kids are grown now and the 2 girls live in Sonora, the 2 boys live in the Sacramento area. We have 10 grandchildren and one great grand-daughter.
My business is 3 B’s Event Planning which includes The Basket Divas. I own the business with my 2 daughters, Bonnie Bettencourt and Belinda Wade. We coordinate weddings, plan parties, help with corporate events, open houses, grand openings, etc. We offer custom packages for any event and have many options to help make your event successful. We can take you all the way from a concept for an event to printing your invitations or advertising as well as helping you find vendors and deco-rations to make your event perfect. Please consider talking to us when you’re planning your next event. We offer a complimentary 1 hour consultation followed by a custom quote. If you want to cele-brate it, we can plan it!
We have been making custom gift baskets for about a year and a half now. We make custom gift baskets for any occa-sion. We specialize in making baskets with any theme you want. We will do your shopping for you or you can bring us your items and we will put your basket together. We also offer free delivery in the Sonora area as well as shipping your baskets anywhere you want. If you have a business, we know you need us to make baskets for you! For your clients, your friends, any one you want to make a big statement with! Please call us and let us show you what we can do for you.
In addition to TCWN, I am very involved with the Tuo-lumne County Chamber of Commerce, I am on the board for Leadership Tuolumne County and attend Sierra Bible
Church. My husband and I love to travel in our RV and hope to do a lot of that when we retire, which will not be for a few years! I have been a part of TCWN for 7 years and always enjoy the meetings and special events we do together. The ladies are wonderful and I like being around other business women who want to be successful. I always learn something from them. I look forward to our group continuing to grow and thrive in Tuolumne County.
