Supply Chain Software Market
Source: Gartner
New capabilities, such as cloud computing, performance management, RFID, drone delivery, increased use of robots and automated handling in manufacturing and warehouse operations, and new uses of optimization are emerging, driven by new approaches in retail demand generation, customer interaction and social media
Overall market spend growth rates have consistently been in double-digits, suggesting the once mature market is undergoing a replacement cycle
The growing penetration of SaaS is shifting spending from capital to operating budgets and accelerating SCM adoption in the SMB and middle markets
By 2021, SaaS deployments are forecast to exceed 35%% of total spending, while on-premise will decline to less than 20%
Between 2018 and 2022, nearly $8 billion in total software revenue will be added
According to Gartner, the worldwide SCM market will exceed $16B by the end of 2019, and is expected to grow at a 11% CAGR to exceed $22B by 2022
