Teen Challenge is a residential alcohol and drug addiction faith-based program with centres
located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario. We offer help and hope to those struggling with alcoholism and/or addiction to other drugs. Addicts, alcoholics, their family and
friends, begin their restoration at Teen Challenge.
FAMILY CIRCLE Continue to pray for all our seniors, those who suffer illnesses, and those
who are lonely or shut-in. May they feel God’s presence in their lives and may He bring healing.
BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS: Congratulations to Jacob Vancoillie who is celebrating
his birthday today. Congratulations also to Amy Vandendool, Mike Maguire, and Gary Vandendool who are celebrating their birthdays in this coming week.

EVENING SERVICE: Our regular Evening Services are cancelled in July and August. Regular Evening Services will begin again on September 10, 2017.

ANNUAL COMMUNITY MINISTRY KICK-OFF BBQ: Save the date for our Annual
Community BBQ coming up on Saturday, September 16th from 11:00 until 1 pm. We are looking for volunteers that will be able to help on that day and also to help prepare salads
the day before. Please speak with any member of the Hospitality Committee to volunteer.

READING THE BIBLE TOGETHER: September 1st is on Friday and we
will be starting our reading through the bible together again. Last year we read from Genesis 1- Isaiah 66 together. This is a great opportunity
to read large portions of the Bible, read it together and grow in understanding and faith. This is open to everyone, young or old, those
who have read the Bible many times or never before. Anyone is still
welcome to join and you can join in at anytime. Jump aboard and start reading Jeremiah together. Each week the weekly readings will be listed in the bulletin and the September/
October bookmarks are available on the table by the office.
YOUNG ADULTS: Save the date!! A Young Adults Gathering is being planned for Saturday,
September 9th at 5 pm at Rob Kraayenbrink’s house. Please text Rob K (519-384-0306) or
Pastor Josh (519-282-6290) if you are able to make it to be sure they have enough pizza. All Young Adults 18+ are welcome to come out for a night of fun together.
CHURCH PICNIC BRUNCH: Join us on Saturday, September 9th for a Church Picnic Brunch. A golf tournament will begin at 7:30am at Country
View Golf Course. Please sign up with John and Erica Lubbers. The Fishing Derby will be at the Port Lambton Public Dock from 8 -10 am. Brunch will be
served from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. Families are asked to bring fruit,
muffins, etc… to accompany brunch. Come out for a great meal and a fun time of fellowship together. Join in on the fun with yard games, a scavenger
hunt, and the splash pad. Remember your lawn chairs.
SPECIAL EVENING SERVICE: On September 10th in our evening service we will be having a
special guest speaker with us ‘Brett Ullman’ to talk about depression, anxiety, eating
disorders, and other mental health issues that we or our friends and family may be struggling with. Brett will be sharing his talk "Hope for the Walking Wounded" with us. Brett in the
Walking Wounded begins to address how to walk back towards healing and away from our emotions, feelings, and thoughts that can at times keep us paralyzed in life. Save the date and

HYMN-SING: Join us for a Hymn-Sing at Sydenham Residence on Tuesday, August 29 at 1:30
pm. All are welcome.
GRIEFSHARE: If you need help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend please consider attending GriefShare. GriefShare is a support group that
meets weekly for 13 weeks. It is nondenominational and features Biblical concepts for healing
from grief. The fall session of GriefShare begins Thursday evenings, September 14, 2017 at Gregory Drive Alliance Church from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For more information, please

DUTCH HYMN SING - You are cordially invited to come to the 13th annual Dutch Hymn Sing
on Wednesday, August 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Westmount Christian Reformed Church, 405 Drury Lane, Strathroy, Ontario. Come and join people from all over SW Ontario in singing praise to
