Our Lady of Lourdes 5333 EAST WASHINGTON STREET • I NDIANAPOLIS , I NDIANA 46219 www.ollindy.org August 6, 2017 – The Transfiguration of the Lord PASTOR’S CORNER My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Well! It has been an amazing summer. I have never experienced so much rain during a summer in my life! The flowers, fields, and mosquitoes have all benefited from Gods watery largesse! I am thankful, in spite of the mosquitoes (for which I now have an ankle/wrist band which repels those pecky insects!) As I write this I hear the rat-a-tat of the hydraulic hammers conquering the western loop of the churchs steps to the street sidewalk! What a beautiful enhancement to the major entranceway to our church and property! Thanks to Wilhelm Construction for managing this much needed improvement, both for safety and for beauty. PASTOR’S CORNER My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Well! It has been an amazing summer. I have never experienced so much rain during a summer in my life! The flowers, fields, and mosquitoes have all benefited from God’s watery largesse! I am thankful, in spite of the mosquitoes (for which I now have an ankle/wrist band which repels those pecky insects!)

As I write this I hear the rat-a-tat of the hydraulic hammers conquering the western loop of the church’s steps to the street sidewalk! What a beautiful enhancement to the major entranceway to our church and property! Thanks to Wilhelm Construction for managing this much needed

improvement, both for safety and for beauty. (Continued page 2)

…PASTOR’S CORNER (continued) More thanks go out to the folks who helped last weekend to install the overhead projectors and smart boards in all of the school classrooms! In four hours a great deal was accomplished, according to Pat McNulty, overseer of this project. According to Pat: “There is now a wireless access point, projector, and Bluetooth speaker in every classroom and the 'teacher conference room.' We also relocated the window A/C unit into Michael's new classroom.”

In addition, through the efforts of Chris Swinefurth, there are now wireless access points serving the Corridors, Gym, Cafeteria, Library, and improved wireless access points serving St. Bernadette Hall.

And so, a shout out to the overseers, and their helpers: Ross Maue, Nick Reuhs, Dave and Ben Leising, Nick Petrone, Cory McNulty, Josh Davis, Leon Waninger and David Ray! Fr. Rick
