Book Week

Each year across Australia, the CBCA brings children and books together celebrating Book Week. During this time schools, booksellers, libraries, illustrators, authors and children celebrate Australian children’s literature and you will often see children’s book parades. At Kananook we celebrate by hosting an annual Book Week parade in our hall, reading best selling books in our classrooms, purchasing many new books for our students and completing fun and engaging activities! We all had a fantastic time at our parade this year, a big thanks to Mrs. Fimister for being the fabulous MC on the day and it was wonderful to see so many amazing costumes.

Special Events From August

District Track Events At Ballam Park

We had a fabulous day at Ballam Park participating in the District Track Events against other local schools. The teachers were super proud of everyone’s efforts on the day and we couldn’t be prouder to hear students cheering each other on. The Division Track Events will be held at Ballam Park on the 9th of October.

All term our P-3 students have been visiting local Kinders to help teach the new Hindi Program, ELLA on iPad’s. This is a great program that has been introduced in 2019.
