Spring Ahead!
On Sunday
March 13th at
2 a.m., Daylight
Saving Time
begins in the
United States.
Our Local Leaders in Business series continues on Wednesday,
March 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room with Seattle Sut-
ton RN, BSN, Founder and President, Seattle Suttons Healthy Eat-
ing (SSHE).
Hear how Ms. Sutton started her business,
acquired financial support, and marketed
herself.
Seattle Sutton, of Marseilles, Ill., founded
Seattle Sutton Healthy Eating to help im-
prove peoples eating habits and has contin-
ued her original mission to this day.
Sutton received a bachelor's of science de-
gree in nursing from Jamestown College,
North Dakota, in 1954. She also earned her
R.N. designation the same year. Upon fin-
ishing Jamestown College, Sutton married her husband, who became
the towns physician in Marseilles, Ill., where they raised five chil-
dren and still reside today.
For twenty-two years, Sutton raised her five children and also
worked as a registered nurse in her husbands medical practice, until
he retired in 1991. Suttons idea to start SSHE was born from her
work with patients in her husbands medical practice. The companys
dedication to health continues today, with the founding principal as
its mission: To improve eating habits and overall health.
All attendees will have the chance to win exciting prizes from
Seattle Suttons Healthy Eating.
