AUSTIN POWDERA TRADITION OF SAFETY, STRENGTH AND SERVICE.

    DESCRIPTION

Austin DC Cast Boosters are high-density molecular explosives designed toproduce high detonation pressures for optimum initiation of blasting agents. AustinCast Boosters can be furnished with a cap well and cord channel that facilitateprimer assembly. The DC family of Cast Boosters is sensitive to a #8 strength(450mg PETN) base charge detonator, or 15 grain per foot or greater detonatingcord.

Austin DC Cast Boosters detonatein excess of 24,000 ft/sec (7,380m/sec).

Over 200 kb of detonation pressureensures optimum steady state

    velocity for blasting agents.

Excellent shelf life, highly resistantto water and oil.

Austin Powder Cast Boosters are manufactured with molecular explosivesconsisting of PETN, RDX, HMX and TNT, all of which are sensitive to severeimpact, heat or friction. As with all explosives, Cast Boosters must be transported, stored and handled with care. Avoid any impact with solid surfaces or other CastBoosters, as the potential for a premature detonation or misfire is possible.

    Detonating Cord

AUSTIN POWDERA TRADITION OF SAFETY, STRENGTH AND SERVICE.

    DESCRIPTION

Austin Powder manufacturers a wide variety of detonating cord to meet the requirements of themining, quarrying and construction industries. Detonating cord is used to initiate detonatorsensitive commercial explosives such as cast boosters, dynamites and emulsions. Detonatingcord is also used to provide a path of initiation to non-electric detonators. Detonating cord has acore of PETN (pentaerythritol tetranitrate) encased in multiple polypropylene yarns, over-extrudedwith a polyethylene jacket and high strength textile yarns.

    Water and abrasion resistant.

    High tensile strength.

    Color coded for easy identification.

    Electronically & mechanically inspected.

    Insensitive to extraneous current.

    Assures reliable non-electric initiation.

Lite Line & Lite Line Slideline:Downline or upline under all but the most severe conditions.

A-Cord & A-Cord Slideline:Small, medium and large hole downlines and trunklines; secondaryblasting and long hole blasting underground.

50 Reinforced: Excellent general purpose detonating cord for reliable blast initiation undervirtually all conditions.

AUSTIN POWDERA TRADITION OF SAFETY, STRENGTH AND SERVICE.

    DESCRIPTION

Austin EStar Cast Boosters are high-density molecular explosives designed to produce high detonationpressures for optimum initiation of blasting agents. Austin EStar Cast Boosters are specifically designed toaccomadate the EStar electronic detonator and contains a detonator well of 4 length (101.5mm). Thedetonator well contains an internal, precisely located brass sleeve. This sleeve is positioned to provideadditional protection to the sensitive electronic components of the EStar detonator, while still insuring thehigh strength detonator base charge is in intimate contact with the sensitive cast booster explosive.

The EStar cast booster is designed for the EStar detonator. The use of any other detonator or detonating

    cord will result in misfires.

Austin Cast Boosters detonate in excess of 24,000ft/sec (7,380 m/sec).

Over 230 kb of detonation pressure ensures optimumsteady state velocity for blasting agents.

Excellent shelf life, highly resistant to water and oil.

The EStar cast booster contains a brass sleeve in the

detonator well to provide additional protection from transientshock pressure to electronic detonator components. Thebrass sleeve is 2.0 long. The total length (depth) of thedetonator well is 4. This design of a cast booster requires theelectronic detonator to be fully inserted to the bottom of thedetonator well to expose the base charge to the explosivecast booster mix. The bottom 1.72 of the detonator well doesnot contain the brass sleeve.

AUSTIN POWDERA TRADITION OF SAFETY, STRENGTH AND SERVICE.

    DESCRIPTION

Austin Powder Hornet Cast Boosters are high-density molecular explosives designed to producehigh detonation pressures for optimum initiation of blasting agents. Austin Hornet Cast Boostersare specifically designed to accomadate detonators up to 4 (101.5mm) in length. The Hornetfamily of cast boosters is designed to be initiated by non-electric, electric and electronicdetonators that are classified as a minimum of #8 strength (450mg or greater PETN) basecharge. The Hornet family of cast boosters is Detonator Only sensitive. (Not for use withdetonating cord)

Austin Hornet Cast Boosters detonate inexcess of 24,000 ft/sec (7,380 m/sec).

Over 230 kb of detonation pressure ensuresoptimum steady state velocity for blasting

    agents.

Excellent shelf life, highly resistant to waterand oil.

Bright Red container for added visibility onblast site.

    SAFETY

Austin Powder Cast Boosters are manufactured with molecular explosives consisting of PETN,RDX, HMX and TNT, all of which are sensitive to severe impact, heat or friction. As with allexplosives, Cast Boosters must be transported, stored and handled with care. Avoid any impactwith solid surfaces or other Cast Boosters, as the potential for a premature detonation or misfireis possible.

AUSTIN POWDERA TRADITION OF SAFETY, STRENGTH AND SERVICE.

    DESCRIPTION

Bulk hydromites are pumpable blends of Hydromite 1100 and Austinite 15 thatprovide excellent water resistance and performance to meet many applicationrequirements.

    BENEFITS

    PPuummppaabbllee,, BBoooosstteerrSSeennssiittiivvee BBuullkkEEmmuullssiioonn aannddEEmmuullssiioonn//AANNFFOO BBlleenndd

Loading bulk pumpable products can reducethe time needed to load shots increasingefficiency.

In wet boreholes, Hydromite bulk products arepumped to the bottom of the borehole, displacing the water to providing 100% boreholecoupling.

Chemically sensitized products have a natural

density gradient resulting in a higher density atthe bottom of the borehole where the energy isneeded the most.
