BusBus travel the most popular way to get around Australia is cheap and convenient, although the distances involved can be daunting. Coaches go virtually everywhere, and many coach tickets allow you to hop on and off en route to your destination.

CarA rental car is an excellent way to travel, as Australia has a generally well-maintained system of roadsandhighways.(note:Australiansdriveontheleft-hand side of the road, with the steering wheel ontheright-handsideofthecar.)

TransitAll of Australias capital cities are served by a variety of public transit, including trains, buses, ferries, monorail, light rail, and trams.
