Circular Quay, Botanical Gardens, Walking Trails, Bridges, and More!!!
CIRCULAR QUAYCircular Quay is the hub of Sydney Harbour, situated at a small inlet called Sydney Cove, the founding site for Sydney and
Australia.
Shortly after Captain Arthur Phillip brought his fleet of 11 square-rigged sailing ships to anchor in the small bay that was to become known as Sydney Cove, he sent ashore working parties of convicts to clear an area for the tents and shelters that would house the settlers. Much of the settlement was established on the western shore of Sydney Cove and this district eventually became known as The Rocks.
The quay is a vibrant, bustling place with ferries leaving every few minutes to different parts of the harbour, including Manly, Watsons Bay, Mosman and Taronga Park Zoo. There are great views of the Harbour Bridge, a short distance away.

minutes. The safety precautions taken include a blood alcohol reading and a
Climb Simulator, which shows Climbers the climbing conditions that might be

It is the world's largest (but not the longest) steel arch bridge with the top of the bridge standing 134 metres above the harbour.•Fondly known by the locals as the 'Coathanger', the Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrated its 70th birthday in 2002, with its official opening in March 1932.
NORTHERN SIDEThe Rocks
The Rocks is one of the most-visited parts of Sydney. It is not hard to see why. Nestled at the foot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and on the western
shores of Sydney Cove, The Rocks is the foundation place of Sydney and Australia, and of
enormous historical significance. It is often described as "Sydney's outdoors museum".
Open daily 9.30am to 5.30pm [Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day]
On weekends and at festival times, there is usually free entertainment, with outdoor concerts and
street theatre. Many of The Rocks' pubs offer live music - jazz, folk and pop. The Rocks Market operates every weekend, from 10am to 5pm
each day.
