▲We Gather In Let us worship the God who separated light from darkness. Hallowed be his name. Let us worship the God who ordered the birth of the stars. Hallowed be his name. Who watches over us, unsleeping, night and day. Hallowed be his name. Let the day begin, the sun return, the world move into joyful contemplation. And let God’s people say Amen. Amen. ▲We Create a Sacred Space We will light a light in the name of God, Who is the Creator of all life. We will light a light in the name of the Son, Who gives us new life. We will light a light in the name of the Spirit, Whose presence makes all creation holy. ▲Processional Hymn Gather Us In
The Faith We Sing, 2236 (vs.1-2, 4) ▲We Give Praise Creator God, because you make all that draws forth our praise and the forms in which to express it, We praise you. Because you make artists of us all, awakening courage to look again at what is taken for granted, grace to share these insights with others, vision to reveal the future already in being, We praise you. Because you form your Word among us, and in your great work embrace all human experience, even death itself, inspiring our resurrection song, We praise you. Yours is the glory. Amen ▲Song of Praise The Summons
The Faith We Sing, 2130 (vs.5) ▲We Experience the Word Prayer of Meeting God in the Word: I am the wind on the sea. I am the ocean wave. I am the sound of the billows. I am the seven-horned stag. I am the hawk on the cliff. I am the dewdrop in sunlight. I am the fairest of flowers.
I am the raging boar. I am the salmon in the deep pool. I am the lake on the plain. I am the meaning of the poem. I am the point of the spear. I am God, who makes fire in the head. Who levels the mountain? Who speaks the age of the moon? Who has been where the sun sleeps? Who, if not I? Psalm 27 ▲Scripture Hymn
Come, O Thou Traveler Unknown Hymnal, 386 (vs. 1-3)
Gospel Reading Luke 13: 31-35 ▲Scripture Hymn

▲We Explore the Way Sermon “Invited to Be Held”
Rev. Greg Kennedy ▲We Pray for Each Other and the World Pastor’s Prayer, ends with Lord’s Prayer ▲We Share God’s Peace Creator I saw a stranger today. I put food for him in the eating-place And drink in the drinking-place And music in the listening-place. In the Holy name of the Trinity He blessed myself and my family. And the lark said in her warble: Often, often, often Goes Christ in the stranger's guise. O, oft and oft and oft, Goes Christ in the stranger's guise. God makes peace within us. Let us claim it. God makes peace between us. Let us share it.

▲We Commit Ourselves Central to Life Offertory “I Feel the Winds of God”
Traditional Irish Karen Marrolli, solo | Linda Davidson, flute
▲Offertory Response Celtic Doxology Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ in breadth, Christ in length, Christ in height, Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me. ▲We Affirm Our Faith: Tírechán’s Creed Our God is the God of all humans, the God of heaven and earth, the God of sea and rivers, the God of sun and moon, the God of all heavenly bodies, the God of the lofty mountains, the God of the lowly valleys. God is above the heavens; and he is beneath the heavens, Heaven and earth and sea, and everything that is in them, such he has as his abode. He inspires all things, he gives life to all things, he stands above all things, he stands beneath all things. He enlightens the light of the sun, he strengthens the light of the night and the stars, he makes wells in the arid land and dry islands in the sea, and he places the stars in the service of the greater lights. He has a Son who is co-eternal with himself; and similar in all respects to himself; and neither is the Son younger than the Father, nor is the Father older than the Son; and the Holy Spirit breathes in them. And the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit are inseparable. Amen.
▲We Return to the World We arise today, through the strength of Heaven; light of Sun, brilliance of Moon, splendor of Fire, speed of Lightning, swiftness of Wind, depth of Sea, stability of Earth, firmness of Rock. We arise today Through a mighty strength: God's power to guide us, God's might to uphold us, God's eyes to watch over us; God's ear to hear us, God's word to give us speech, God's hand to guard us, God's way to lie before us, God's shield to shelter us, God's host to secure us. ▲Hymn to Engage the World
Be Thou My Vision Hymnal, 451
May the blessing of light be on you - light without and light within. May the blessed sunlight shine on you like a great peat fire, so that stranger and friend may come and warm himself at it. And may light shine out of the two eyes of you, like a candle set in the window of a house, bidding the wanderer come in out of the storm. And may the blessing of the rain be on you, may it beat upon your Spirit and wash it fair and clean, and leave there a shining pool where the blue of Heaven shines, and sometimes a star. And may the blessing of the earth be on you, soft under your feet as you pass along the roads, soft under you as you lie out on it, tired at the end of day; and may it rest easy over you when, at last, you lie out under it. May it rest so lightly over you that your soul may be out from under it quickly; up and off and on its way to God. And now may the Lord bless you, and bless you kindly. Amen.
