    (1) Bettlion liaison team

    (a) Observation: The two enlisted men currently authorized for each badt-t:lion -rtillery liaison team are not sufficient to provide maximum efficiency findeffectiveness.

    (b) Evwluation: The artillery' liaison tecim, is required to oper te on a 24hour daily bnsis. Under the present strength authorization this requires indivi-dwls to work a bazic 12 hour shift plus contribute additional overlap time on thejob. Although the LNO is a third member of the tccm, he cannot assume shift re-sponsibilitics due to other tactical rcquirements. The 01O usually trevels withth6 infhntry battalion commzander and is not available for duty at the TOC. Anincreased authorization to three enlisted personnel would provide greater floxi-bility and insure accomplishment of the liaison ten' s mission. Primary dutiesof the enlisted men of the team are posting all boundarics and processing re-quests for fire clc.rance within the supported h-ttalion's arLa of operation. AMTCE chn.c re-commending three enlisted men for each tem will be submitted assoon as division MM moratorium terminates.

    (c) Recomwmndationt That the current authorization be increased to provide

threc enlisted men for each battalion artillery liaison tcam.

    (2) Personnel infusion prorram

    (a) Observation: The infusion program for the 4th Battalion (AerialArtiller), 77th Arty (Ambl) and its attached T.C. detachrients has boen inadequate.

    (b) Ev~luation: In the month of March the battalion will lose the followingpersonnel because of DEROS and ETS:
