Chicago Auto Show

The Chicago Auto Show recreated America’s first motor vehicle race with EVs only. The Electrified Vehicle Rally departed from the Chicago Auto Show and re-traced the same route from the original 1895 Chicago Times-Herald motor race. The Chicago Electrified Vehicle Rally was pure fun, but also proved to nay-sayers that EVs fare

well in the chilly climate of Chicago in the winter. A few of the cars that were part of the Rally include the Chevy Volt, Fisker Karma, Nissan LEAF and the Tesla. Cars

weren’t the only EVs that took part in the rally. A Smith Electric Delivery Vehicle was also on hand, as seen from this picture of a Testa Produce delivery truck.
