Bartelt "On-Demand" systems othe systems that automate your •
packaging/cartoning equipment
Floating bucket "On-Demand" systems • In this system, tandem pouches are conveyed to the flattener/slitter crossfeed conveyor, picked up singly, and counted electronically. The pouches are then placed into
the "On-Demand" floating bucket conveyor and moved towards the carton insertion station.
III • With this system, individual pouches are transferred from the packager to the flattening conveyor for flattening in preparation for stacking. At the load-and-count station, the pouches are transferred, counted electronically, and ac-cumulated in the "On-Demand" car until the required count
is reached. Properly filled buckets are then released to the next station for additional flattening and/or coupon inser-tion. The buckets accumulate "downstream" at the last station for transfer to the carton. The empty buckets on the "On-Demand" conveyor are then returned for reloading.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Each "On-Demand" car waits at the load-and-count station until the proper number of pouches have been transferred and loaded. This guarantees you the same number of pouches in each "On-Demand" car.

Multiple "On-Demand" accumulating/collating systems • In this line, three duplex twin-tube vertical packagers are integrated into a system. The pillow pouches are accumu-lated and counted at the rate of 900 pouches per minute into "On-Demand" floating bucket conveyors. The filled floating buckets are accumulated for transfer of their con-
tents to the coded buckets of the indexing conveyor. The coded bucket indexing conveyor then supplies the cartoner. The "On-Demand" systems permit individual operation of all the units in the line.

Continuous motion packager coupled with high-speed "On-Demand" system • This "On-Demand" accumulating/collating system for automatic cartoning handles 360 pouches per minute. With two stacks of five pouches per carton, production is rated at 36 cartons per minute. The Continuous Motion
Packager is coupled with a high-speed transfer unit feeding the "On-Demand" floating bucket conveyor. This conveyor supplies the pouches stacked and counted for full auto-matic cartoning.

Indexing "On-Demand" conveyor systems for manual cartoning operations • Pouches are received from the packager for loading and counting into buckets. When the full count is reached, the conveyor indexes to bring another bucket into loading posi-tion. The indexing action is regulated by the electronic
counter. The .ndexing conveyor system is primarily appli-cable to accumulating pouches for manual cartonino Operations.

Bartelt Cartoners Rexham makes three basic cartoners — the Bartelt Intermittent Motion, Continuous Motion, and Adjustable Continuous Motion Cartoners. All can be adapted to a virtually unlimited range of cartoning applications. They can operate independently or in synchronization with packaging machines and/or with automatic conveying, counting, and collating equipment. Bartelt Cartoners ... Automatically erect, fill, close, and seal cartons in horizontal,
end-load configuration. ... Automatically load packages and products such as pouches,
cans, bottles, jars, hardware, and small piece goods on a high-speed, continuous production basis.
... Use either hot-melt or cold-glue systems for positive carton closure.
... Are constructed of heavy-duty materials designed for easy maintenance and cleaning.
... Are equipped with "no product - no carton" features ... plus safety switches and jam detectors to assure reliable pro-duction.
