Okaya Anergy automotive battery is a factory charged & rechargeable battery that supplies electric energy to an automobile.

Traditionally, this is called an SLI, for starting, lighting, ignition, and its main purpose is to start the engine. Once the engine is running, power for the car is supplied by the alternator. Typically, the ignition discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to release a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged. They are not designed for deep discharge, and a full discharge can reduce the battery’s lifespan.

In MF sealed batteries, Advanced AGM Technology immobilizes the acid in the battery, resulting in virtually zero gas emissions and no acid spillage in the case of rupture or accident. This makes the battery spill proof and allows you to install this battery in virtually any position.

Advanced AGM Technology uses a tightly compressed internal construction which makes this battery more vibration resistant.

Heavy Duty Grids, engineered to withstand tough terrain and extreme climates. Anergy Battery has Vibration Resistance Technology to ensure active material remains in optimal condition during use.

Grid casting for high quality plates and long lasting performance. Individually Vacuumed Sealed to ensure optimal starting power and storage life. Individually tested to ensure no leaks or short circuit. In addition, MF technology batteries can be charged at normal lead-acid regulated charging voltages, therefore, it is not necessary to recalibrate charging systems or purchase special chargers.

OKAYA AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES

MF BATTERIESOkaya Maintenance-Free Batteries equipped with advanced Ca-Ca system offer you a longer wet shelf-life and freedom from freshen charging required for up to 6 months from the date of manufacture.

Both positive and negative plates comprise of a special paste formulation. Double-clad polyethylene and glass mat separation with special Omega type cover design fitted with Venturi type chamber cover promise you a high reliability and spill-resistant longer life.

Okaya Anergy New Look & Premium Design: Specifically designed for premium & hatch back micro-hybrid vehicle with Stop/Start systems plus regenerative braking systems.

Technology: We succeeded in promoting the charging/discharging efficiency and the product's lifespan by employing the lower resistant super-polymer separator and the built-in casting terminal called COS. Due to the expanded calcium metal, more solutions can be stored than ever, that give better performance and steadier engine operation.

Maximun Durability: Battery is designed to give maximum durability for a longer period of time.

Longer Life: Significantly longer lifespan because the calcium-based compound metal reduces the use of electrolytic solutions and minimizes self-discharge. It maintains a stable performance without ever refilling the solutions throughout its lifespan.

Double Handle: For better & safer handling of battery.

Okaya Anergy Terminals are Corrosion resistant terminals

Okaya Anergy Comes with Magic Eye Indicator to check the charging condition of the battery & health.

Okaya Anergy can sustain in all weather conditions irrespective the effect on performace.

Enveloped separator for low electric resistance & lead alloy terminal for applying heavy loads.

DRY CHARGEDBATTERIESDry charged batteries are made of a cathode core. Graphite is the commonly used material, surrounded by an electrolyte paste. Type D, C, and nine-volt batteries are all dry cell batteries. When these batteries go dead, many people simply throw them away; but it is possible to recharge certain dry cell batteries. All you need is the proper battery charger and a power outlet.

DO’S AND DON’TS TO ENSURE ALONG BATTERY LIFEBatteries require proper maintenance and regular charging in order to perform to their best. Here are some basic do’s and don’ts tips that will come handy in maintaining a battery:

Do’s • Make sure batteries are always handled on First In First Out (FIFO) basis• Store batteries in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area & make sure that batteries are stored upright• Check charged batteries in stock or batteries fitted on stock vehicles once a month. (OCV should be above

12.5V) & charge discharged batteries at current amount as per specificationsDon’ts• Never stock or store batteries of old code & don’t use or store batteries in hot temperature conditions in order

to avoid faster discharge• Never let batteries to discharge below 12.2V (OCB) at the time of stocking or using & avoid fitting the

discharged batteries in order to avoid cranking problems and battery performance issues

STORAGE/STOCKING

Do’s • Always use the best quality charging clips/wires to connect batteries while charging• Make sure the charging room is well-ventilated and well-lit at all times & turn the charger off before connecting

or disconnecting the battery to and from the charging circuit• Make sure that you charge the battery till the Closed Circuit Voltage at least reaches minimum 15.6V and the

S.G. is 1240 (unless specified otherwise)Don’ts• Do not charge a battery in an enclosed environment & do not connect and disconnect the battery from the

charging circuit while the charger is still on• Never use a higher current supply in an effort to fast-charge the battery, as it may damage the battery and

reduce battery life

RECHARGING

Do’s • Install the right battery for your vehicle & enclose the battery appropriately in the battery box.• Make sure you clean the terminals and clamps before installing the battery. You can use petroleum jelly for this

cleaning purpose• If you have coupled two batteries together in parallel, make sure you replace both batteries together.

Otherwise, it may affect the performance of the new battery• While installing the battery in a vehicle, make sure that the positive lead is fitted first and the negative one cordDon’ts• Do not use a battery with a capacity lower than recommended & never use a battery with loose terminals to

avoid the possible damage• Do not tighten the clamps or hold-down screws too hard. Never use grease on terminals as a lubricant & do

not let dust or corrosion accumulate on the terminals as it may disturb the battery performance

INSTALLING IN A VEHICLE

All maintenance free batteries are delivered fully charged from the factory.

Ensure open circuit voltage of more than 12.6+/-0.10 voltage before fitment on the vehicle.

In order to ensure proper maintenance of MF Batteries, they should be stored in wooden pallets, and the voltage & specific gravity should be checked every 3 weeks. Batteries having an open circuit voltage of less than 12.40 volts should be charged with constant potential chargers until the charge voltage is = 14.4 volts. In case of constant current charging, set the current as recommended below: Sizes 70 ah & Below: 5-8 Amps , Sizes 70 ah & Above: 8-12 Amps

Charging should be continued until the specific gravity of each cell has returned to 12.6+/-0.005 at 27 degree, wherever checking is possible. Alternatively the top of charge voltage should reach 14.4 volts during charging monitor battery temperature. If it reaches 48 degrees ( i.e. if battery is hot when felt with bare hands, discontinue charging until battery has cooled down to room temperature and resume charging until the top of charge voltage reaches 14.4 volts and /or the specific gravity of each cell has returned to 12.6+/-0.005 at 27 degrees.

The batteries should be stored in a cool and dry place. High humidity and temperature fluctuations can cause adverse voltage drops.

HEALTH TIPS FOR BATTERY

Check the fresh battery for any physical damage before filling. Ensure proper specific gravity of filling electrolyte. The acid should be of 1.260 specific gravity at 27 degrees and the temperature of the acid should not be more than room temperature at the time of filling. Fill the cells to the maximum line or up to the top mark (in case of opaque batteries). Wait for 30 minutes. Replenish the electrolyte if the level has dropped below the maximum line. Check for the open circuit voltage of the battery. Please ensure OCV reaches 12.5+/-0.10 volts before fitment.

Place the battery on charge until the top of charge voltage reaches 14.40 volts or the specific gravity in each cell is 1.260+/-0.005 at 27 degrees. In case of constant current charging. Set the current as recommended below: Sizes 70 ah & Below: 5-8 Amps, Sizes 70 ah & Above: 8-12 Amps If for some reason the acid filled dry charged batteries required storage, then they should be maintained and kept in a charged condition as in the case of Sealed MF Batteries.
