Turkish Sign Language

Modular Training Program

Our application was written by using Android Studio Platform. It is simple to use and the aim is to learn the words that are taught in Turkish sign language course which is the modular education program of the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning.

It can be downloaded and used for free via Googleplay.

A very simple interface is used in all parts of the application. Videos in the app are embedded in the app.

The Alphabet and Numbers

In these parts of the application there are sign language equivalents of numbers and sounds in the alphabet. When the student chooses numbers or the alphabet from the home page, the numbers or the sounds in the alphabet appear as a list. The student selects any of this list and the video showing how the selected number or letter is made is displayed on the next page.

Short Diologues

This section of the application contains short diologues that should be learned by the students in the modular program. The student selects the dialogues in the list to reach the next screen. The video showing how the dialog is made is displayed here.

Dictionary

This section contains the words in the student’s modular training program. Similarly, it is shown to the student how the words are made with the help of videos.

Uygulamam Android Studio platformu kullanılarak yazılmıştır. Kullanımı basit olup amaç Hayat Boyu Öğrenme Genel Müdürlüğünün Türk İşaret Dili Kursu modüler eğitim programı ile uyumlu olarak öğrencilerin kurs kelimelerini öğrenmelerine yardımcı olamaktır.

Uygulama GooglePlay üzerinden ücretsiz olarak indirilebilir kullanılabilir.

Uygulamanın bütün bölümlerinde oldukça basit bir arayüz kullanılmıştır. Uygulamadaki videolar uygulamanın içine gömülmüştür.

Alfabe ve Sayılar

Uygulamanın bu bölümlerinde sayıların ve alfabedeki seslerin işret dili karşılıkları bulunmaktadır. Öğrenci ana ekrandan sayılar ya da alfabe bölümü seçtiğinde sayılar ya da alfabedeki sesler liste şeklinde karşısına çıkar. Buradan her hangi birini seçerek seçilen sayının ya da harfin nasıl yapıldığını gösteren video bir sonraki ekranda görüntülenir.

Kısa Diyaloglar

Uygulamanın bu bölümünde modüler programda öğrencile kazandırılması amaçlanan kısa diyaloglara yer verilmiştir. Liste şeklindeki diyaloglardan istediğini seçerek bir sonraki ekrana ulaşır. Burada diyalogun nasıl yapıldığı gösteren video görüntülenir.

Sözlük

Bu bölümde öğrencinin modüler eğitim programındaki kelimeler bulunur. Benzer şekilde video yardımıyla kelimelerin nasıl yapıldığı öğrenciye gösterilir.
