The Shelduck route
Country roads and cycle paths
It is possible to go to Quend and Fort-Mahon-
Plage using cycle paths.
Length : 2h30 to 3h
During this route you will discover the remarkable landscape between the Baie d’Authie and the Baie de Somme, the largest stretch of dunes in Northern Europe.
Do not miss :The Parc du Marquenterre in the Nature Reserve, the picturesque village of Saint- Quentin-en-Tourmont, and its Henson horse centre.The eco-village of Belle Dune in Quend.Don’t forget to look up, you might catch a glimpse of migrating birds : storks, egrets and common shelducks, etc...

The Avocet route
Includes both laps,cycle path from le Crotoy
to Saint Firmin then country roads
Length : Lap A : 45 min
Lap B : 1h30
Take the small roads at the heart of the Marquenterre, where the Henson horses (the local breed) graze and migrating birds rest. You will ride through the pines and dunes until you reach Rue, a town with a rich cultural heritage.
Do not miss :The medieval city of Rue, (St Esprit Chapel, the Belfry, the Frères Caudron museum, St Wulphy church, the Marquenterre marshes).
Le Crotoy (its beach, fishing port and market on Fridays).The villages of Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont (Henson Horse centre), Favières and the Parc du Marquenterre.

The Heron routeIncludes both laps,
small country roads and cycle paths (from Noyelles-sur-Mer
to Le Crotoy).Possible to go to Le Crotoy
with the Tortillard (steam train in the Noyelles station).

Length : 3h (1h30 per lap)
From the bay to the salt marshes and the plain (the Foraines), this route allows you to discover small picturesque villages and ride on pretty country roads bordered with pastures and meadows. It is also ideal for a gastronomic pause (Favières, le Crotoy, St-Firmin) as well as the tasting and purchase of local products.

Respect nature : do not litter the countryside. Use the bins or take your rubbish with you.
The Highway Code also applies to cyclists.
Be careful at crossroads !
You are strongly advised to wear a helmet.
Cycle paths are two way, ride on the right hand side.

The Jay route Includes both laps,
it is possible to go to Rue via the D938 (signposted route on country roads)
Length : 4h30
Lap A : from the bay to the forest. Lap B : takes you through the Crecy* forest, which cannot be missed by those
interested in history or nature.
* notwithstanding the fact that this forest is the largest wooded area in the Somme region (4300 hectares), on 26 August 1346, the name Crécy entered history through being associated with one of the most famous battles of the Hundred Years’ War, between the English and the French.

The village of Mons-BoubertGo to (on country roads)Friville Escarbotin (2 km) : the museum of industries and the Vimeu riding school Feuquières-en-Vimeu (4.5 km) : shops.If you feel a bit hungry go to Quesnoy-le - Montant to enjoy one of the best cakes “gâteaux battus” in the area.

French-British cycling scheme
The French-British scheme is part of the Interreg III programme. It is the fruit of a partnership between the Syndicat Mixte Baie de Somme-Grand Littoral Picard, the Conseil général de la Seine-Maritime, the East Sussex County Council and the Kent County Council.
The Baie de Somme and its surrounding area are part of the European-wide cycle route initiative. You can already travel along 38km of off-road cycle tracks and seven signposted discovery circuits.

One of the most beautiful routes. Ride between the sea and land, discover the dunes of Brighton, the pebble beaches of the Picardie coast, the Hâble d’Ault and the Cayeux-sur-Mer salt marshes. If you are a photographer, do not forget your camera (very nice views from the Hourdel point and the Hâble d’Ault.

in the Hâble d’Ault
A route that allows you to discover the rich and complex flora and wildlife of the Baie de Somme : seakale, sea-buckthorn and poppies will surprise you. Crossing the Hâble d’Ault allows you to observe migrating birds without being seen. Continue your ride and pass through the town of Ault (the view from the cliff is unique at 4 km).
