Stampin’ Up
A monthly publication of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church
Our kick off sign-up party will be August 24th at 6:00
p.m. Food, fun and games will be provided. There is a
sign-up fee of $20/child or $30/family. This fee will
help cover the cost of vests, books, and supplies.
Then first meeting will be August 31st and will
continue each Wednesday night from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Awana will be taking the place of R.A.’s and G.A.’s.
We will have a training meeting on August 14th at
6:00 p.m. for anyone wanting to volunteer to help
with the Awana program.
Children In Action Missions
Please be in prayer for this new
school year that is about to begin!
Teachers return August 5th.
Students return August 10th.

Summer is winding down and school is
about to start back. As I sit here and
reflect on our summer activities I am
excited and feel blessed. We began the
summer with an amazing VBS in which
we saw many kids give their lives to
Christ. Shortly after VBS 19 people
from our church went on a life changing
mission trip to Haiti where we saw God do amazing things. July was an
amazing month with our Do Something camp in which 130 people from
four churches came together to work on 16 different projects throughout
north Okaloosa county. To finish out July we saw the baptismal waters
stirred as many people followed through in Believer's baptism. To God
be the glory for the great things He hath done. August is sure to be a
busy month as well. As always, I encourage you to remain faithful in
your attendance, your giving, your inviting others to church, your prayer
life, and your daily time with the Lord.

Upcoming in LIFT Women’s Ministry
We hope you join us Saturday, September 10th for a paint
party and fellowship. The following day we will begin our
new bible study (Sunday, September 11th)! This will be a 7
week study continuing on Sunday evenings thru October
30th with the exception of Tailgate Sunday. More informa-
tion will be provided soon!

Last November our church came
together and donated shoe boxes
for children in another country for
Christmas (or what Operation
Christmas Child calls Gospel
Opportunities). 81 boxes were
donated and we reached 81 kids
with the gospel of Christ, gave 81
kids the opportunity to be
discipled in their new Christian
walk, and showed 81 kids that the
physical love of God can reach
thousands of miles right to where
they are and that they are not
alone in this world—that there is
someone who loved God and
loved them enough to send them
that gift. In 2015, the Northwest
Florida Region collected 25,170
boxes. A new Emerald Coast
Area Team is coming together to
serve just Okaloosa and Walton
Counties. If you are interested in
being involved in this new team
you can contact Rick Watkins the
Emerald Coast Area Collection
Center Coordinator at
850-687-4990.

our morning services we will
recognize our senior adults.
Senior Adult Bible Study
Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thurs-
day September 6th, 7th, & 8th
will be our bible study. We will
meet from 9:30–11:30 a.m. Lunch
will be provided afterward.

with jackets from this past winter.

Our school supply giveaway was
a huge success! We were able to
help 102 children with school

Ladies, our next Stampin’ Up meeting
will be Monday, August 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
All children and youth classes will promote on Sunday,
August 7th. Please report to your current class as usual.
Bro. Darren will come and take the those promoting in the
children's department to their new classes. Bro. Justin will
direct the youth as to when classes change.
