Additional Information Treasury Board General Manual of Administration Employee Appreciation Guidelines

Departments are authorized to spend a limited amount of public funds on appreciation activities. For retirement and long service awards, the amounts are as follows:

Retirements With a minimum of 15 years of service A framed certificate A gift valued at no more than $5 per year of service.

[e.g. 15 years = $75; 40 years = $200] Long Service Benchmarks of 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service A framed certificate An item from page 14 of the Awards & Recognition

Catalogue (maximum value of alternative item $50.)
