  • For your convenience, your AWS standards can be deliveredon a one-gigabyte USB flash drive. Just add $50 to the cost ofany standard or any assortment of standards that you order.

For example, carry D1.1:2010 or all the StructuralWelding Codes on a single flashdrive and have room to addyour own documents, presentations or slides.

This drive will function as a single transportable copy, allowing you to carry multiple standards without bulky printcopies. The flashdrive allows electronic searching and allowsyou to display on a single monitor or to project the code to a

screen for presentations, trainings and discussions. Theflashdrive does not support networking, does not allow forprint or electronic copies, and does not allow cutting, delet-ting or other edits of critical code content.

AWS publishes Standard Welding Procedure Specifications (SWPSs), which are reviewed and validated by theWelding Procedures Committee of the Welding Research Council. They are balloted through the AWS standards-development program as American National Standards. Standard Welding Procedure Specifications may be usedon work covered by the AWS D1.1, Structural Welding CodeSteel with the engineers approval. The National BoardInspection Code has adopted all pipe SWPSs except B2.1-1-202. SWPSs with red order numbers may be used onASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel work with additional requirements spelled out in Section IX of ASME Boiler &Pressure Vessel Code. All licenses are good for unlimited intracompany applications.

PRICES: The one-time user-license fee for each SWPS is $186 ($248 for nonmembers).

*Downhill progression on root pass. All other vertical position passes are uphill. Specifications with order numbers indicated in red are adopted by ASME with additional requirements.

    Security Features for Electronic Downloads

In an effort to protect their intellectual property and enforce existingcopyright laws, many Standards Developing Organizations have required alldistributors of their content to implement security features that prevent thereproduction and redistribution of downloaded documents. AWS and WEXhave implemented a security policy that uses a free Adobe Acrobat plug-infrom FileOpen Systems, Inc.

If you wish to obtain a license that allows multiple print copies or the abilityto place a Secure PDF on a network, please contact WEX Customer Serviceat 888-935-3463 or [email protected] for pricing.

AWS Standard Welding Procedure Specifications in the B2.1 series areintended for multiple users to have access. These publications may bereproduced electronically or by copy machine for use within a singlecustomer facility. See the Site License contained within the documents.

    Security Features:

Reproduction and Redistribution Restrictions: The free Adobe Acrobat plug-in locks the PDF file to the computer on which it was firstopened. Once a PDF file has been locked to a computer, it can beopened only from that computer.

Networking Restrictions: Secure PDF files cannot be used in a multi-user, network environment. Standard Welding ProcedureSpecifications in the AWS B2.1 series are provided with a user licensethat allows printing and electronic distribution within a single buyer site.If you are interested in purchasing standards for your internal corporatenetwork, please contact WEX to obtain a network version of thedocument(s) and a network license.

Viewing Restrictions: You must download the free plug-in to view any secured PDF document. There is no limit to the number of times adocument may be viewed on your computer.

Printing Restrictions: The plug-in limits the number of times the document may be printed to one copy. Since the software interpretsprinting a part of the document as the one allowable print attempt, werecommend you print the entire document.

Copy & Paste Restrictions: The ability to copy and paste text from the PDF file has been disabled.

NEW! AWS standards on flash drives For your convenience, your AWS standards can be delivered ona one-gigabyte USB flash drive. Just add $50 to the cost of anystandard or any assortment of standards that you order. This drive will function as a single transportable copy,

allowing you to search and carry multiple standards withoutbulky print copies. The flashdrive does not support network-ing, does not allow for print or electronic copies, and does notallow cutting, deletting or other edits of critical code content.
