1. Feature Description, Integrity, Eligibility:

The feature, also known as Highland School #2, is a large one room prairie school. We could not see the foundation as crop prevented us from getting close. The gable roof of the school as well as the modified hip roof of the entry are partially covered with wood shaled with some metal capping. There is a flagpole at the peak on the east end. There is a metal pipe, perhaps a chimney, at the peak of the entry roof. The soffits are closed.

There is a wide trim board on the exterior walls under the peak ends of the roof. The rest of the siding appears to be 6 inch wood lap with 6 inch wood corner trim, little paint left. There is a column at the southeast comer of the entry roof that holds up roofing that allows for a covered porch. The 5 panel wood door is stangind open. There are 5 windows openings on the north wall, three of which are covered. No information about the interior.

Highway 40, south of Noonan, at the junction with 90th St NW, turn to go west 4 miles, turn right and go north on 109th Ave NW, 2 miles, to tum left on 92nd St NW and go west 1 mile, tum right again and go north on 110th Ave NW 2 and a bit miles to cross 94th St NW and you will see the school on the left.

5. Description of SETTING:

School is sitting in a wheat field with trees to the west, a farm site to the southeast and sloughs and farm fields all directions.
