Weather NormalizationWeather Service Update

• Weather data pulling from a different government managed weather service, after prior service recently shutdown.

• New service includes hundreds more weather stations. • Sites have been defaulted to nearest weather station. • Can be changed with Weather Station Selector found on Baseline tab.

Weather Normalization Methods

Baseline Normalization: adjusted baseline consumption (2016) to account for actual period’s (2017) cooler weather Actual Normalization: adjusted

Weather: For this location, 2017 was cooler than 2016 during both heating and cooling seasons. This would suggest more energy would be required to heat and less energy would be needed to cool.

Total Electric Reporting

‘Total Electric’ reporting provides holistic view of the electric consumption for a site with PV and wind. This roll-up is available for Benchmark, Baseline and Reports. Within Reports, you can still drill down at the site level to individual meters to monitor each.


Incorporating Solar Thermal Renewables into Totals

Solar thermal renewable meters are currently reported as part of All Energy Sources and individually as Thermal Renewable. In the near future, new functionality will be in place to allow thermal meters to be grouped with respective energy source for reporting.• Thermal Renewable meters will be updated to include a dropdown to designate

the energy source the renewable is offsetting.• Example 1: Solar thermal is providing domestic hot water which is supplementing an electric

hot water heater. This thermal meter would be designated as electric and thus rolled up into the reporting option “Total Electric”, similar to PV and wind.

• Example 2: Solar thermal is providing radiant heat which is supplementing a natural gas boiler. This thermal meter would be designated as natural gas and thus rolled up into a new reporting option “Total Natural Gas”.

Water Submeters

Like energy mode, water mode now has the ability to create submeters. This allows potential tracking of pools, cooling towers, irrigation and more.

energy over the years, specifically electricity.

• More and more organizations are looking at their carbon footprint and how they’ve reduced their emissions

of a relative target reduction from baseline period to achieve date

Custom Exports• Selecting fields and order to export

data

Interval Meters• Additional functionality to

accommodate interval data utilizing import wizard

Reporting -> Visualizations• Creating PDF reports at both the

organizational and site levels

Enhanced meter search capabilities• Meter Search tab will crawl through

the meter editor comments field to find changes in meter IDs or utility companies (e.g. propane provider)
