Variety was the choice word for the event as no two trees looked alike.Tammy Snipes from the Carl Perkins Center stands beside the Christmas tree that she decorated.

The Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center recently held its first ever Festival of Trees last week. The event allowed various businesses, churches and organizations to decorate their own trees, which would be bid on by the public.

Each tree was different, catching the eyes of many who attended, as well as the checkbook.

There were some that were a bit traditional, topped and decorated with big lights and even bigger ornaments.

Others were unconventional yet fun.

Attendees could have looked at one tree decorated with John Deere Paraphernalia, a curvy tree from Curves’ that would live up to the business’ name or a special gift card tree—decorated with various gift cards from local bus inesses—worth $109.

Attendees were also able to vote for their favorite tree by donating a dollar.

All proceeds will go towards the Carl Perkins Center.
