1 Introduction to "KeyM@n"When you install the KeyM@n software (for Cherry Keyboard Manager), your keyboard/mouse fulfills all of the functions of a standard device. If your device has additional keys, they are also assigned functions by KeyM@n. These functions are called standard KeyM@n functions.KeyM@n detects the connected keyboard and makes only the respective keyboard functions available in the dialog boxes. In these instructions, however, all the functions of the KeyM@n software are described.KeyM@n supports the following additional keys, depending on the keyboard model:• Internet keys – Page 9• Program keys – Page 11• Multimedia keys – Page 12• Standby key/WakeUp key – Page 15• "KeyM@n" key and function keys – Page 16• "KeyM@n" key – Page 17• Num key as currency key – Page 17• Decimal separation character of the keypad – Page 18• Mouse emulation – Page 18• XPress keys – Page 19

KeyM@n supports the Mouse buttons (with mouse support) – Page 15.

Hint

You can freely assign each additional key and combinations with Ctrl and Shift with individual functions. With CyMotion series keyboards, the additional keys can be assigned in combination with the KeyM@n key. Example: start a program.See Assigning keys freely – Page 37.This deactivates the standard KeyM@n function of this additional key, but it can be reactivated.See Restoring standard function of a key – Page 61.You can also assign the standard Windows function to the additional keys. In the standard Windows function, the input of the KeyM@n software is not processed, but rather forwarded to the system. This function depends on the Windows version.See Restoring standard function of a key – Page 61.

When an additional key is pressed, a User information – Page 23 shows the function of the key and the function is executed. Example: a program is started, a window closed, an Internet site called up or a key macro executed. You can assign several functions to an additional key. When the additional key is pressed, an XPressList – Page 22 appears from which you select the desired function.
