    Dirghagamaa little baby cardigan

I wanted to make a cardigan that would be the perfect baby shower gift to give to anyone expecting a

little girl. Originally made for the baby of a lovely couple, who study the Drgha gama, this had to bethe name of the pattern as well. The Drgha gama means a long (drgha) discourse of Buddha

(gama)' in Sanskrit and is a collection of 48 stras, or rather records of the oral teachings of the

Buddha from the 8th century. So now you know!

Thank you for downloading and knitting this pattern. I look forward to seeing your finished project linked to the Ravelry

Pattern page. You can also share your photos on any of the social networking sites listed below or on my blog.

The copyright for this pattern is mine but let me just tell you a little about what you can do with the pattern. You are free to

download it, print it and knit it yourself. You are free to send a link to the pattern page (either on my website orRavelry) so

that your friends, family, students, customers or someone you met on the internet can download it, print it and knit it

themselves. The reason that I keep emphasising that everyone who wants to knit the pattern should download the pattern

themselves is that it is the only way for me to see how many people are actually using the pattern. I hope you understand.

You are free to use this pattern for teaching (just either get the students to download it themselves or contact me). You are

free to give away your knitted items made from this pattern. With regard to knitting for charity, I am generally very positive

towards this. But please contact me first so that I know what it is for and why. Just because I am a nosey so and so :-)

If you wish to use this pattern in any other way that described above, please also contact me and give me the chance to

    say yes or no.
